Nice switch man. It’s always a good day seeing the OG 04 doing some hauling. I still remember the first videos seeing it tow the little mini excavator with the Texas Pride when it was brand new. All my trucks have a B&W turn out ball except one that has the rail setup and I don’t mind it but I absolutely hate how it takes up most of the room in my shortbed. I love my B&W hitches

B&W Turnover is far superior to the big three's factory puck system as well. Ball doesent freeze in as fast, don't have to store a nasty greasy ball in the cab. Dirt and debris falls through so you don't have to vacume or brush it out to get the ball in.

We’ve had the B&W turnover ball freeze in the up and the down position, and it’s a pain in the a** to get out. When you use the B&O puck hitch, you can take it out in 30 seconds and store it clean in the carrying case. To each their own, I guess

Don't kid yourself, those detent balls will freeze up, sticking the ball in the factory hitch and you can't hammer on them like you can an exposed turnover ball. You obviously store yours after use, as you should,👍😊 or you would have experienced this problem as well. You made my point though, you must take it out and store it in the case somewhere on or in the truck, taking up extra room where B&W Turnover does not. The puck systems make you put in two safety chain hook-ups that also must be stored whereas the Turnover system just spring retracts flush into the bed. To each their own, I just think the factory puck systems are trash @@ArmyProperty

i hotshot daily with the B&W hitch and it works great. and i run the Companion 5th wheel for pulling my toy hauler. i love being able to easily remove the hitch and store it in the trailer when i'm not using it. the only issue with the Companion 5th is that it's low, you will have to lower the neck on your trailer even with spring under axles. if you flip the axles it might be a problem unless your truck is also lifted.. not usually a problem for most ppl, but if you tow someone else's trailer or do power only work it might be a problem for you.

Get a piece of magnet material like the use for signs on the side of vehicles to lay over the hole when you flip the ball it will help keep dirt and trash out

Love my B&W hitches. Always kept my ball in toolbox between uses to it worry about debris and sticking.

Probably the turbo if it’s original my 04 had 320k on the stock turbo similar thing pushed hard towing and got oil smell eventually the turbo left the chat lol

Solid find on the B&W Sam. I've purchased 3 and none were brand new. Saved me a chunk of change. Got the ball for the few times i tow a gooseneck and the Companion for my 5th wheel.
