Well thanks to this series (and if I am honest my frustration with how it was going) I picked up the game. WhichI have now completed and got all the endings and quite enjoyed my time with it (glitches and rough edges and all). Yet it amazes me, even allowing for Streamer/KZbinr perception, how much Quill has missed when exploring the normal map. So many areas and cool things just glossed over and rushed past. Especially with his obsession of AFK raising the TI.

agree, but for me I had everything unlocked and explored by around 3.5 TTi so the wait was long with nothing more to explore or even to build. Even if I built rockets or drills u name it it never seemed like the progression was scaling along. It alomst felt like it never went faster. By the end I had over 15 rockets per type and around 50 or so of each max terraforming building, drill, heater, treeplanters. But it still felt slow.

agree! so frustrating seeing things unlock & not used/upgraded, only 1 ending tho. As I unlocked upgrades of pressure, heat, etc., I deconstructed the old ones then constructed the new. was re-using a lot of materials. only ever had about 5 of each, game progressed pretty evenly I thought.

Really enjoying the series but could I strongly encourage you to explore the world map more please? All that time you may consider dead, when you've been afking/waiting to get the numbers up, there were many things still to discover, and time spent exploring is very worthwhile in my opinion :) I hope this doesn't come off as critical, that is not my intention.

I think Quill is so used to big maps in modern games that he doesn't realize that with his current speed he can cross this one edge to edge in under two minutes. Fully exploring it takes less than a typical episode. Bring enough materials for beacons and even if he doesn't want to show all of it, he could make his own PoI map to explore with us. Anyway, finally fun with portals! The way I usually go about exploring the big wrecks is with flares and colour codes. I drop them on every meaningful intersection in or between paths (sometimes paths immediately merge). White is for the first intersection on each floor and points to the exit. Green is the current path I'm exploring. Once I hit a dead end I backtrack and switch the last flare to red (if I'm done) or blue (if I need to return because loot/interactables/suspected door).

The lack of exploring means Quill likely isnt going to find the continuation of the Warden story or any of the other conclusions to stories of crashed survivors.

Now that he has found crystals behind the portal I don't think he'll ever discover the rainbow caves. He'll just assume this is how the game intends the player to get these crystals.

I thought he missed an eps also, but it seems like no he did mention he skipped quite a bit. But basically everything looked new and just glossed over the fact that those pink crystals can be made. Still not seen the teleporter in action, but at least he updated the light. Quil i think you have a few messages that you have not checked. You said a few videos ago that we will read this later and never did. You could also do a set up to seel some of the stuff you have too much of. It might not get you so much money, but the trade rocket is not doing anything else.

If you hold down CTRL when setting up filters, you can add multiple things at once. Less clicking. :)

It's good that you finally got the T2 flashlight, but why haven't you fully explored the map? Are you just in a hurry to get this game finished?

some of those labirinths are brutal, and since they are not just corridors, the right-hand rule doesn't work, since you can get stuck in a loop or miss a passage that don't touch the walls.

Tier 3 deconstruction chip makes deconstructing those beams extremely quick. I doubt he will see this, but just in case.

Let Quill play how he wants to play. Personally, I don't mind the idling to let things tick up (though you really don't need to do it as much -- build more rockets, go explore, or gather more resources!), but building so much stuff offscreen was a bit of a bummer.

when will you play dwarf fortress again now that DFhack is out for the steam version. Supposedly soundsense also works now. A new player playthrough teaching how to use DFHack would be amazing. Havent used DFHack in 8+ years
