Need a non-biased review. This is like watching one big commercial. Is the 4K 60 downsampled from the 8K sensor? Is the 8K true 8K?

from what i’ve seen and heard, it’s not true 8k but more like 6.7k. still the best on the market imo but i hate when companies lie

@@bradwoods371 moot point, the issue here is that the company lied about it being 8k its annoying that companies, even the best can't be straightforward about this stuff and always stretch the truth regardless just because you dont need or are unable to see a use for having 8k footage, doesnt mean its pointless

@@bradwoods371 well it works better when you are filming longer content and merging clips from different cameras. it just flows better when there isn’t as much of a resolution jump between cameras but like i said it’s still the best on the market, i just hate when companies lie. ur mad at me for wanting them to give me what they claimed to provide but not mad at them for failing to meet their own standards. people like you are why companies can say whatever bs and not be held accountable bc “who cares bro” 😂

I use a separate audio recorder (Tascam DR-07x) and a rode lav mic!

The problem with suction cups and magnets base that if it gets hot from the sunlight it can falls happened to me twice there’s nothing like mounting it with fixed screwed arm

Have you found a setting that when you mount the camera in the car, doesn't result in the outside being washed out (too bright)? I drove up the volcano on Tenerife and thought I had some awesome footage, only to find that almost everything 10m from the car was invisible (like I was driving in fog).

@@mpett1979 I recommend dropping the EV to anywhere between -1 to -2.5 depending on how bright it is during the day. I find that sometimes I have to drop to -2 EV in the afternoon. As a result the inside cabin will become darker however you can bump up the shadows when editing. Hope this helps!

Great review! One thing you didn't mention is whether you can use the suction cups on PPF. I spoke to my installer who said that he recommends not to, especially on warm/hot sunny days, since softening of the PPK could create a circular impression. I have PPF on 2/3rds of my car, so I should be able to use this type of mount on my roof, rear window, or trunk lid. (or maybe the side window)

From my personal experience, don't ever use it over a wrap or PPF, it does create that circle around the area after you remove the suction.

@Scottflix Thanks. I would like to use the triple mount in the back, but I have a rear spoiler, so I'm not sure if the lower, single mount will work. The two upper suction cup mounts will attach to the rear hatch window.

Why do I need the premium lens guard? Can’t it just work with the regular ones? It’s not like rocks are going to be flying towards the camera.. unless ur drifting lol

Great video. Im a totally 360 noob. Just bought a x3. Is it best to have thew camera lenses faces left and right, and not up and down? I have the 23-118cm selfie stick, is that enough to get this behind car video?

@@Rammsteinzx10r the 118cm stick should definitely be enough, and I would recommend using their official triple/double suction cup mount! The image quality is usually sharpest right in front of the lenses, but I find myself holding it with lens facing up/down

Nice vid... sometimes I drive through some questionable areas; how hard is it for someone to run by and yank that setup off my car if I was parked at a light?

@ninjahirodude658 My guess is that if the know the technique for releasing the vacuum, it would not take long at all. And because there is a 62 mph limit on speed, your best be would be to mount the camera at the beginning of the desired scenic location.

It's mainly to downscale your footage so you don't lose image quality when cropping/reframing, etc

I have the x2 and the wind reduction with dead cat’s don’t do so much improvement and the wind reduction is not great being the oldest model

X4 wind reduction is pretty decent! The included wind muff's are nice too but tbh i'd just use an external recorder and mic to capture audio separately if mounting outside vehicle
