It would have to be dumbed down just like Family Feud is; original show allowed 15 seconds and 20 seconds to win the big money. Current show is 20 seconds and 25 seconds. People aren't that smart these days. Why? Education is not the game; indoctrination is.

How i remember this game show when i was a little boy. I never forgot the Theme music. Jack Narz also hosted my other favorite game show "Concentration" he was a classy game show host always liked watching him host.

I just now started watching this show, what I love the most about it is it's not easy, I love a challenge and this fits the bill. Almost as tough as playing idiotest. The jacket that Jack is wearing is one of a kind, I've never seen anything like it, pretty sharp. Susan is the total package, drop dead gorgeous AND lightning fast on the draw

Wink Martindale's channel just premiered "Pilot 1" of this rules change format, so this is definitely also a pilot/test episode. Susan ends that show in the first round matchup with someone named Stephen and the bank is supposed to be $13K on the "next" episode. UPDATE: According to Wink's team, this is Pilot #3 taped on the same day (11/27/74). So there's another one out there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5K2e2ejnMmNmaM

This was obviously not a pilot, as it was a regular broadcast episode. It was rare though b/c GSN hasn't shown this series in awhile. Fremantle Media may not have had a good copy of the pilot or had it at all, so they substituted by putting a regular episode in. You can find a pilot of the 1985 version that didn't air here on KZbin as well as the regular 1989 series.

If it's actually from '74 like the channel says and is a true broadcast episode, it has to be between December 20th and 31st. But none of the eps on Goodson Wiki show either pair of contestant names, so something is off.

I guess Buzzr felt that NYSI didn't have a pilot episode after all. Child's Play had maybe 3 pilots but each pilot had a different returning champion I guess but that's my thinking.

Does anyone remember an old b&w movie about a contestant of a game show where the producers could not stump him because he was winning too much and they finally beat him by asking him what was his social security number. I saw it when I was young,( about 50 years ago) but I cannot remember it.

It was Champagne For Caesar. Vincent Price played the harried game show host and Ronald Colman played the contestant who couldn't miss a question.
