Jack Narz was a veteran host of many game shows (he was also the brother of Tom Kennedy another game show host). Mr. Narz even came to Canada to host a revised version of the classic "Beat the Clock"--he later hosted the new version of Concentration

Concentration ended in the early 1980’s Narz version a because Mark Goodson /Bill Todman had a lease from NBC for seven years(Narz version was syndicated),and NBC was afraid that CBS or ABC was going to steal Concentration from NBC and make it their own!! Jack Narz was approached by NBC in 1984 to host a restart of Concentration,but he was not interested and Orson Bean ended up getting a pilot that NBC hated and ABC wanted bigger income from advertisers for the Concentration reboot! Alex Trebec did a pilot,NBC loved it,and Concentration came back to life under the name Classic Concentration for over five years from 1985-1990!!

I agree that game show along with Double Dare should be in on ABC lineup in the Summer Fun & Games lineup.

@@christopherwilcox6825 You're talking about Nickelodeon's Double Dare, right? Because Nick already tried that, and it just recently went off the air.
@christopherwilcox68254 жыл бұрын
@@wturner777 Not the Nickelodeon version, but the version in 1976-77 on CBS hosted by Alex Trebek.

@@christopherwilcox6825 Thought so, lol. I doubt they'll bring that back because of its short run. We never know.

Although I do miss the elimination round from the previous season I do like how they changed the format for the championship game by eliminating the clock and giving the contestants the right to play to one hundred points

I could never understand why CBS cancelled this show in June 1975. They actually replaced it with Musical Chairs , different time slot. Musical Chairs was a bust.

The first round is sort of "Scrabble-esque".

I wonder if 100 is a record for the finals.
@PREGO19668 жыл бұрын
+Trevor Panno Not really. The show was revamped in the middle of the run, so that there was no elimination game. The semi final became the qualifying game, the final became the championship game. They played it to 50 and then after 50, they doubled the point value of the answers. 100 was the winning point

Carly could get a late night text...if that was around in the 70s

Unfortunately, Carly seems to have died a few years ago. Google "Carly Cady" - her obituary mentions she was a big winner on several game shows. I wonder what other shows she was on?
