Yes the secret they shared, to the outside world 90% of their love songs were about the great loves of their lives, dream women & Wives/Girlfriends. Except they weren't. They were about the two great lost female loves of their lives - each others mother's. The reason they were able to pour their heart & soul into every lyric or musical note was because they genuinely longed for the love of their mothers, meaning nothing was too much or too little as long as it came from their hearts

Because our emotions weren’t coddled growing up, they were shunned and we were made to feel ashamed of them from a young age. I physically can’t show emotion, it’s just not there anymore. Apparently crying is supposed to be relieving, but the thought of doing it myself makes me feel empty and sick to the stomach. The real question is, why do you feel so entitled to other people’s emotions?
@270yis11 жыл бұрын
(The real) Paul McCartney has said nothing like this scene ever actually happened between him and John Lennon, which is not to say that he didn't comfort and console John after Julia's death. They both understood the sadness of losing their mothers during their youths, but they related to each other in more subtle ways. It was probably one of the reasons why they were so musically attuned in their songwriting partnership.

After watching Get Back and seeing how Two of Us was born around their Quarrymen days, therefore not about Linda but about John, I find myself doubting many John-related things that Paul has claimed
@justinsayswtf2 жыл бұрын
@@Clau1982 The "A Quarrymen Original" was just a reference written at the bottom of the page by Paul. It's not like he wrote those lyrics in 1958 and kept the page for 11 years. It also wouldn't make sense why neither John nor George had ever heard the song before and had to be taught every detail. I'm not saying everything Paul has ever said is 100% objective truth, but I am saying that the Quarrymen reference scribbled by Paul doesn't mean Two Of Us was literally a Quarrymen song. One final point would be that Paul's songwriting skills weren't nearly at the level of writing a song like Two Of Us when he was 16... In Spite Of All The Danger is an alright song written by Paul, but that was about the extent of the original songwriting going on in that band.
