Whyyyy!!! Why spill so much coffee? It was so hard to watch... I felt like jumping in there to wipe everything up.

God these people are so pretentious wtf... "it makes me existentially sad" " I have a complicated relationship with coffee" Okay damn y'all are too much😂

Yeah, the video is well-made and beautifully shot but the people... i like that they say at the end of the video that it is just a cup of coffee. I mean, c'mon, personal rituals are important but it's so overhyped recently. Coffee culture existed for .... centuries, it's part of life for some, or for many, but in this video portrayed as something so insightful, so existential. Ask an Italian ( I know corny, but true, I can testify), or Colombian they won't say any of this, 'cause they have a healthy relaitionship with the holy substance. Recognizing and supporting a quality product or local baristas does not have to have this narrative, it 's just the most natural thing in the world, if you think about it. And, just to clarify - I don't think cupping is wrong or a matcha-frapuccino is wrong, it's all great, and it should be fun, just don't have a whole life-altering philosophy about it. But who am I to judge? Great authors may write about most common, mundane events in an eloquent way... But overall, I agree, it's a BIT too much.

Love this video. There’s just something about coffee and everyone has their personal opinion about how they want it. I remember my first visit to a NY coffee shop, it blew my mind how high level the barista was - they really go all in to be the best, as everyone else in NYC

I started drinking coffee when I turned 43. I don´t care where it comes from or what it tastes like, I only want it´s cheap rush of energy that I need.

wash green coffee beans, preferable Arabica coffee beans, then roast, grind dry ginger with the roasted coffee, add to a clay coffee pot with spring water and boil,... enjoy it thick. ☕️

There is such danger in idolizing such products. I love coffee but I also understand its role in power relations between states and corporations. Remember that some one some where had to be poor and black so that your delicious coffee could end up in your cup. So actually NO, its not just a cup of coffee, its a cup of power.

I never really liked coffee, even if you put sugar in it because it has that bitter taste to it. However I do like hot chocolate because it's sweet and does not have that bitter taste.

Spoken like a true coffee drinker. It's easy to accept the findings of a study when you have a self interest in a particular outcome, it's called confirmation bias. I don't drink coffee nor do I have anything against it philosophically speaking - I don't have "a horse in the race" as they say, so it doesn't matter to me personally whether coffee is good for you or not which allows to me look at all the research data with an unbiased eye, and the conclusion is clear: it's addictive (no? try going without your coffee for 6 weeks and get back to me), can raise LDL cholesterol levels, blood pressure, cause headaches, increased homocysteine levels in the blood--a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, dehydration, insomnia, increases loss of bone mineral density, over 400 mg of caffeine (found in 4-5 cups of brewed coffee) can cause caffeine intoxication, and the list goes on and on... And please, I'm not interested in people searching www.makemeright.com and posting the "benefits" of coffee, I already know the "pros" and the "cons" and the cons far out weigh the pros. I simply choose to stay away from anything with so many known negative health effects (including dairy, refined sugar, etc.)
@FloatingPixel9 жыл бұрын
***** hmm i also thought coffee is healthy. Do you remember the study? :)
@MyplayLists4Y2Y9 жыл бұрын
"Studies" - plural - just Google it and numerous sources come up. Look up who conducted the study and who finances them - Non-profits and Universities are not immune to financial influence. Think about it, no one stands to gain from people "not" drinking coffee, but millions of dollars are at stake to get people drinking coffee, so checking the sources of pro-coffee consumption "studies" is particularly vital in finding accurate information.
