In this short film about the life and work of one of London's most influential chefs, MUNCHIES follows Margot Henderson from her hidden restaurant-the Rochelle Canteen-to the Soho restaurants that helped make her career. With testimony from her friends Sarah Lucas and Sadie Coles as well as her trailblazing husband Fergus, this intimate portrait tells a nose-to-tail story of love, a passion for craft, and how one woman managed to change the taste of London cuisine forever.

Bourdain lists him as one of his heroes in his Heroes/Villains chapter in his book, Medium Raw. He took Fergus along to speak to the students at the CIA, Anthony’s old catering college. The kids loved him, listened spellbound for 45 minutes, then asked questions. AB was so happy he nearly cried.

This woman is amazing, and this episode made me cry. Just how positive and passionate she is, its something to be admired for. The London and UK foodie biz attracts talent from the world over, I keep running into New Zealanders up here who’ve made their mark. I remember, back in the 80s, the Mexican restaurant in Wellington this woman started cooking in, it was a brilliant place: huge fun, quality food and proper value-for-money. Massive respect to Margot Henderson.
