I and my family are generations of Pagans -- who's celebrations of that season/date closely mirror the Holy Days of Nowruz. It's entirely possible that our traditions learned much from those of Persia.

It is. Greeks after Alexander converted to version of Zoroastrian called Mithraic that in the west called pagan. Roman empire practiced this religion until 4th century when they were converted to Christianity. In fact, they celebrated the birth of Mithra on changing of the season to winter. However, upon the conversion they called it Christmas which really was not the birth of Mithra. Remember the three Kings from Persia..... Hell, heaven, life after death, serving wine in catholic church, Paradise (persian word) were all derived from Mithraic/pagan....

The New World Order likes this holiday. Your grandkids will celebrate Nowruz and only learn about Christmas from old documentaries.
