@@WanderingOldGuysomething like this would most likely be used for nighttime infiltration. They could easily sneak up undetected and flank from all sides. The only issue is landing fast enough and disengaging the control mechanism to free your shooting hand. With enough time I'm sure they can figure it out but that would only be the tricky part. Other than that, this invention is extremely practical.

@@edontes2154 I dont know if sneak is the word, id bet these things are pretty loud.
@edontes21547 ай бұрын
@@stevenkriplean1350 yeah that came across my mind as well, I was trying to gauge how loud they actually were but it's hard with the video audio. If the ship is big enough, they could do it. RHIBs aren't as quiet as people think but because the waves drown out some of the noise it makes them almost undetectable (noise wise). Again, ship size, time of night, ocean conditions. These would all have to be accounted for. But I still think these could be really great for certain ops. But you're right, I don't know how loud they are, so I can't say for sure. If the element of surprise is gone then there's no way these are ideal. But they've got the right concept. Everything has to start somewhere and technology is always building upon the last advancement. So who knows. I'm still waiting on those hoverboards I was promised haha

This jetpack actuaply has a lot of practical uses, insude and outside of the military/enforcement field. For instance, it would really help rescue missions to navigate difficult terrains without the use of helicopters, which is huge if you want to save people stuck in mountains/hills etc.

I think a small boat is much more dangerous to a civilian ship than would be a rocketman. A small boat can move unpredictably on the waves, whereas the rocketman is stuck moving in a gentle, predictable parabola.
