Very expressive kids.the kids afraid of the monster farang were funny as all hell.loveD ThE Hardware store. If all else fails with the kids,,pack a pocket full of condoms,,pass em out and tell em they're balloons. Lmao Sorta expensive balloons though. Hope you guys are staying safe. I teased Neenee about nearly tipping over while dancing with girls at Saint Philo. Come to think of it,,you were getting kinda shiny faced lolol.. Stay safe ,Todd,,Ttyl,,,Marlon

Beautiful People Beautiful Countryside,I want to be back to Muang Hiem Hot Spring and Nam Et-Phou Louey National Protected Area in Northern is covering 5,959 km2. The park consists mainly of mountains and hills with altitude ranging between 336 and 2257 metres above sea level. It is named after the Nam Et River and Phou Louey Mountain in Muang Hiem Houaphan Province Laos

Same here mate - each barangy has a wet/ dry market. The people form the villiages bring their wares for sale or trade. SOme of them barely see the 'civilisation' of town in Tagbilaran. Unfortunately some people take advantage and buy from them at home cheap. Then they come to the markets with a huge mark up.

Hey Todd, have been watching your weekly videos, great scenery and always friendly people. I get corrected many times as my Lao is not very good. The word for "I" is similar to another word which can be rather challenging 😁. Love those hardware shops, and yes your knife was a find. Can't wait until you get to the Communist Caves to see what you think. $15 Aud for a room 👍 I'm missing Laos, Melbourne has just achieved 28 days of Zero Covid so hopefully I'll be in Laos early next year when they open up the Lao borders. Take care you and Neenee. Phil

Hey Todd, Craig here from Bendigo. Quick question and perhaps a whole new video. How the hell and how long did it take to get NeNe to wear a seatbelt in the car? My wife has no problem listening to the car beep for 2 minutes before it gives up. The 4 hunj fine when she is in Aus is an incentive but in Lao it all goes out the window 🤔
@NowinLao3 жыл бұрын
You're right, probably a whole new video. Will add it to one mate 👌
@stevewhittaker50703 жыл бұрын
Great journey we really enjoyed it and your enunciation is getting better hahaha. It seems Lao and Thai are interchangeable almost. Is it less expensive to buy things there instead of other countries around there. Maybe you guys can help us with the exchange rate... anyway thanks again. Stay safe. From the US
@NowinLao3 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve.. yeah sorry about not converting the kip to dollars, i usually do, but slipped up this time. Lao is usually a little more than it's surrounding neighbours for anything that is imported due to being a land locked country. Anything locally grown or produced is very competitive if not cheaper than it's neighbours...Plus, the best god damn beer in ALL of S.E.Asia 🍺😋👍 Glad you're enjoying the vids mate, lots more of this trip to come 👌

Todd- did you drive from VTE to all over Northern Laos? I want to do that too, any suggestions or recommendations?
@NowinLao3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Allow yourself plenty of time, and be patient. Very patient. Do NOT book accommodation in advance.. you may not arrive on time. Plus, there's no need to book ahead. We've never been left without accommodation at night. Also... DO NOT drive at night on these roads. Far too dangerous.

Houaphan whiskey , do not take the infused one .is her specialty . in all seriousness I can hook you up and they would be grateful to enhance your cultural experience , and they would be a show all to themselves . Let me know it really is worth your while . Prefect for a night or day out .
