It would be great if you can interview people like Ross, Sandy, Elon and innovators that's worth listening to at least once a year. Good job ZJ or JZ!👍

Rambler Andy: I think a big part of his charm is that he's somewhat self effacing, like Buffett. Being willing to admit you have weaknesses, make mistakes, etc. does a LOT for the "awe shucks, I'm just an honest guy and not too intimidating" persona, that so many seem to miss in the "selfie, I always have to look, smart, successful, hip, cool, yadda yadda NO MATTER WHAT era. Just an observation from someone who has been into investing for 40 years, post college (when I finally wasn't dirt poor).

Hi Zac and Jesse! I love your channel! Can you please do a video on this topic which no one has really covered: The amount of electricity required to product gasoline is HUGE. Oil rigs, refineries, transport pipelines all run on terawatts of electricity! Refineries even have to have their own power plants just to produce the electricity they gobble up every second. It has been calculated that the amount of electricity required to produce 1 gallon of gasoline is roughly 8kw, and that gallon of gasoline can push the average ICE vehicle 22 miles down the road. In contrast, same 8kw of electricity can move the average electric vehicle about 28 miles. This means that ICE vehicles use MORE electricity then EVs, plus they are burning all that gasoline. The amount of electricity saved by shutting down refineries would be more than enough to power every electric vehicle.

As an economics student years ago I learned that distribution of wealth does not affect the economy. As long as the spending totals are "favorable" and the economy grows, we're good. Thank You Ross. You are right, there is no recession in your world. That is so amazing. With worker shortages all over the country. Quite of few Americans have quit looking for work, or just gave up for long enough to drop off the employment roles. Aren't these people taken out of the unemployment rate calculation? No judgements, you've made some good decisions and busted your ass to get where you are.

Great interview - Ross is always entertaining to listen to. Pleased that the West coast is booming - unfortunately over here in Europe we are going through an increasingly serious period of energy fuelled inflation. Average energy bills in the UK are expected to be about £6600 ($7760) by next April which is going to cripple the economy.
@turbokadett2 жыл бұрын
In a rather unfortunate turn of events my fixed-term utility contract expires in March, just in time for the April predicted £6-7k annual bill, that'll be about 75p per kWh and will mean that it will be cheaper to drive an ICE car than my EV!
@jameschilton35562 жыл бұрын
@@turbokadett I've had a rethink. I was going to get a Model Y but my old Golf has just passed its MOT and I can get 60mpg without trying. The Tesla would cost roughly 5p / mile more - not a huge amount but with the increase in the cost of the car too, £58k just seems a bit too much in these difficult times.

Actually, it shouldn't be difficult to make the cybertruck. The choice of an exoskeleton was largely based on the simplification of manufacturing. All the structural strength of the vehicle comes from the shell, which was designed to be made from simple industrial processes.

Ross is an OG in the fight against Tesla FUD. I remember him from every CNBS interview. I wanted to know who he was and why he and Cathie; Ron Barron and of course Gali were alone in the fight on television. Ross is the cleaned up version of SMR from Solving the Money Problem and he always brings a laugh and the truth when talking Tesla. He will probably get more business off this interview because there are already a growing number of Teslanaiers and that number is only growing.

Without energy, from oil, you can't fight a war, because you just don't have the energy. You have _squabbles_ and _tiffs._
