Buenos días, amigo/a KZbinr.

This is awesome. Thanks! YT auto-played this when I was washing dishes and my first thought was, "That's the longest intro to a song I've ever heard."

Awesome. The slowed down bpm and pauses are a superb twist. BTW, I've got the other one you have in E as one of my top choices for jams

Yeah, I was checking out a live version of the tune, and it was super slow and Groovy!

Really D7#9 - as Tonic in D Dorian? F#? I was wondering why Dom. Dimished doesn't work over it - could someone please explain - thanks a lot
@Alpha_Jams3 ай бұрын
the simple explanation is, it's blues. It's less a western music theory thing, just typically what someone would play historically. You are, of course, free to play whatever you want!
@CrossBonesAlex3 ай бұрын
@@Alpha_JamsI know about the Blues but why is the jam indicated as D Dorian (Dm7 as Tonic but it shows D7#9 as Tonic and I hear Dm7 in the most part of the jam track so that's a bit confusing - you wanna play an F# over the indicated altered chord and actually playing a minor Blues where you should definitely not stress the F# - therefore I was asking - however, your Jam Tracks are excellent and a lot of fun to play over - thanks for answering so quickly🙋🏼
@score3116 ай бұрын
all this time. i just didn't know it was about dorian mode. it's the bass that matters most
@CrossBonesAlex3 ай бұрын
The "break" sounds like D7#9 but the Half whole scale doesn't work
@Alpha_Jams3 ай бұрын
I think you're over thinking this one! It's not jazz! But then again, I think Miles would say if you put enough conviction behind it, you can play anything you want.
@CrossBonesAlex3 ай бұрын
@@Alpha_JamsI ❤your answer - it's like balm for my overloaded brain😅 - and it is so true that if you know what you do it will sound convincing as you know where you are coming from and where to go - its all about being accustomed to all levels of tension and how to release it convincingly - there are no wrong notes like Miles said - thank you
