This song is a great fit for Nox. A absolutely beautiful. When he sats "forgive you forget you the end" it feels like he is forgiving the heroes and finally forgetting the cube that ruined his life in the first, accepting his fate and passing away peacefully.

Sounds like Nox confronting how empty his life is but finally accepting it at the end. Going through the steps of grief. Denial: That his family is dead. Anger: At the Eliacube for taking his family from him. Bargaining: 200 years of ‘If I just had enough Wakfu, I could fix it all.’ Depression: Once his ambitions fail and he understands that he never had a chance to begin with. Acceptance: Dying peacefully.

Yeah sorry about the abrupt ending but the song just plays its melody for an entire minute at the end and I had to cut it all out. If I ever have to do that again I’ll try to make it seem more natural. And I completely agree with everything you said about Nox, one of the saddest villains ever created.

You know, so many of your AMVs besides the ones I'm commenting on happen to have songs I'm both familiar with and happen to like, that it's almost scary. Anyway, onto this vid: it's a beautiful, appropriately sad choice of song for Noximilien. :) :') (Feels kinda creepy coming across this video so long after another AMV used it.) There are a lot of tragic villains out there who are bad people with sympathetic reasons for doing what they're doing, but Nox is something else and borderline antivillain with his time-travel-erasure justification. Nox's backstory on its own is sad enough, but when one combines that with the beautifully poetic and gut-wrenching way his journey ends... he is truly a villain who breaks my heart. :'( :'( Hell, even daydreaming about him when I'm just alone with my thoughts makes me tear up sometimes. :'( The way the clip of Nox crying went with the song actually made me shudder with sadness (jeez, that feeling actually worsens, now that it occurs to me that the "I understand" lyric there syncs with how that moment was the hero's first, and only, hint that Nox wasn't the cold-hearted psycho he'd assumed he was. :'( :'( And I love the clips of him looking pitiful and weak which emphasise how saddening a character he is, and how they go with the clips of him being badass, which for me with the song emphasise his true motivation and how determined and desperate he is to get his family back. :) :) The clip of his family with the lyric about forgetting also stabs my heart, 'cos of the theory that the continuity-inconsistency with Nox's family's hair is because his memory of what they look like is fading in the show's main time frame. :'( :'(

Thank you and great post as usual. Nox is definitely one of the saddest villains ever created and I think I might have even cried when seeing his final moments. Such a depressing and well-written character, the creators did such a good job with him.

​@@goblintributemaker2539 I definitely cried during his final moments, in spite of knowing his full backstory beforehand - I still do when I rewatch it once in a while. And I love how there were so many harrowing and brutal losses in that episode (especially with the time-rewind being a few seconds too short to save Tristepin), yet on top of all of them it was the villain who evoked the most pity of all when Nox died broken and alone, knowing he'd never get his family back, unlike the heroes when they were dying surrounded by loved ones.

Interesting idea but I can’t think of a fitting song for him so that probably won’t happen. I will only do a tribute for villains that I have really good and fitting songs for. That’s the general rule on my channel.

@@goblintributemaker2539 Just coming back to this later with a thought (honestly not intending to push or pester about this, just reconsidering and thinking this might be worth noting), 'The Evil King' by NateWantsToBattle seems to me like it could be a good song for Ghidorah. There's already a pre-2018 tribute to the old Ghidorah using that song, but I feel it'd fit even better with 2019 Ghidorah because of the film's plot and his three heads bickering. :)

@@ecthox-1mork909 I don’t know, I did watch King of The Monsters last year but I’m still not sure, isn’t King Ghidoriah basically just a mindless beast? I’m not sure how the lyrics would suit him specifically and plus I’m not familiar with all the other versions of him which I would want to include if I ever did make a video on him. Also, I actually have Evil King planned for another villain who I hope to get to at some point.

​@@goblintributemaker2539 I don't speak for earlier incarnations of King Ghidorah (I think the anime version is also intelligent), but the 'King of the Monsters' film establishes its version of Ghidorah is both intelligent and is genuinely evil, instead of being a carnivorous animal following instincts. And that's before one goes into how the 'King of the Monsters' version of Ghidorah is the first one where each of the three heads have a mind and personality of their own. Ooh, I look forward to seeing what villain you're using 'The Evil King' for! :)

Good job, what your not an anime fan, but I was going to make 2020 Anime Armi aton. Just kidding of course, I do have a few characters to show though. I dunno, if you ever feel like watching one and just one anime I suggest Hellsing Ultimate. Personally I do still wanna see Wackfu at somepoint so esxuse me if I can´t actually say anything about Nox. It´s nice though that you finished with your three favourite characters and I´ll be waiting till your next tribute. Anyways I found something even worse than the MCU Thanos (don´t worry though, I´ll still do him on the one year anniversairy of selfhate sunday) even got me blocked on Discord for some reason was fun.

I’ll see what I can do about that anime but I really wasn’t kidding when I said that I personally find anime really hard to get into for some reason. That and I still have some other shows to check out first including finishing the second season of Wakfu. Well, they’re my current three favorite non Marvel/DC villains at least because if I’m being honest here, if I ever make a list of my favorite villains of all time I think about half the list would be comic book villains including the top 5 at least. And something worse than MCU Thanos? Damn that thing must be bad.

Eh man, do as you want, it would be interesting though to see a list of your favourite villains of all time. Also my friend, my friend. You may not find it that bad (actually you will, even if you have no idea about the franchise, I actually make that Statement in the video actually which………..is almost done. For now though all I´m going to say is……..in the franchise that has zombies and viruses which make animals larger and sometimes mutate people, logical things which can be explained for the most part in some sort of way, the main villain of Resident Evil 6 (which is a game you should avoid if you ever actually want to get in that franchise) becames a BIO-TRANSFORMER, which of course translates into giant dino.

I also need to figure out how to work with many different characters in the same video and plus I would need to find a song that kinda fits all of them. Just do what you want to man, although personally I actually don’t really like do multiple villains from the same source so close together unless it’s DC or Marvel.

Oh he’s DEFINITELY an anti-villain and my favorite Wakfu villain as well. I agree that it would be interesting if they could somehow bring him back in Season 4 and have him redeem himself by fighting the villain of that season.

I have never heard of this guy, I have watched a French cartoon called Lastman 2 years back and found it to be decent. I may look into this show but right now I am kind of on a slow decline when it comes to cartoons or anything TV show related lately. I am still stuck on Babylon 5 and I started that last year and I am just now nearly done watching the third season. I still love it but mostly everything has slowed down. As for the anime thing, there's lot of great shows out there but the problem is that most of the genuinely good ones never get promoted well enough at all. I started a "crusade" of sorts regarding that years ago but I gave up now because it wasn't worth the time. That and the community is just awful. I'll still look into this since I am kind of burning through cartoons right now.

I actually never heard of this guy myself until recently but I immediately checked out the show when I found out what his backstory and goal was and fell in love with him immediately. I can understand you being burned out but if you do get the chance I would still recommend you check out this villain, the writing for him is seriously phenomenal, it's almost on the same level as the Godfather movies and how many other cartoon villains can you say that about? As for anime, it's more of a personal thing for me, it isn't because I think they're bad or anything. I feel the same way about some cartoons, although it's mostly anime. It's just that I have a lot of personal reasons (that I don't really want to talk about) for not being able to get into any of them or the genre in general.

@@goblintributemaker2539 Interesting how he's on par with the Godfather. All though I need to rewatch those. I personally think cartoon villains get a bit too much flak in general. Weird. Personally, I do think there's at least 1 or 2 shows that a person not into anime would like. I am quite a big fan of Berserk 97 and think Griffth in that is a very good villain. His speech about dreams and friendship is one of my favorite scenes ever. Monster is also a very good show. Johan is also a villain I really like. Learning about German and Cold War History is making me appreciate the show more now. Need to rewatch it.

@@civilwarfare101 I've actually never heard of cartoon villains getting too much flak, I always thought they were generally really loved by people. I like most of the ones I've seen or at least know about but I generally find Marvel and DC villains to be superior although it might be an unfair comparison considering just how much stuff Marvel and DC villains appear in. I don't know man, like I said it's more of a personal thing that doesn't let me enjoy anime having to do with my childhood and background and stuff like that and it extends to some other things as well like certain movie franchises. There's just something that prevents me from really getting into it even if it's "good". There are some stuff that are kind of like anime that I do enjoy though like Transformers Armada which is one of my favorite shows although that's mainly because the arc they gave Starscream was pretty damn amazing.

If they act over the top in any way they are like a "cartoon villain". Its dumb. That is strange. Usually when I view a story, I put personal histories and unnecessary biases aside and view the story on its own merits. I just find it weird how you can watch bad superhero cartoons like everything Disney did after the 1st Avengers movie but yet you can't watch anime. But that's fine, you do you. I haven't watched TF Armada in many years. Its been a long while lol. I am thinking about rewatching it.

Too say cartoon villains are weak is just silly. There are many great cartoon villains that have great writing behind them. David Xanatos is a great example. I will admit though that most anine villains have more depth and complexities than western cartoon villains.
