NP300 Navara lacking power or surging?

This week we have an NP300 Navara on the dyno and run into a common issue.
We know about the issue but thought we would try and show it actually happening
The intake pipe is one of the things we recommend when tuning as well as an intercooler and exhaust.
But with a body lift the intake pipe upgrade is a must!
We carry them in stock for this reason

Ive had this issue for a long while now, almost gave up and learned to live with it. Also started after a had my navara D23 tuned. I will surely be having a look at mine and hope that is what the cause of it was. Here in South Africa there isnt really a big aftermarket section for the D23s

hey mines not tuned but has a throttle controller what's the pipe worth and i assume its DIY ?cheers

What else can cause the navara to surge like that except for the intake pipe? my Navara has the same sympton, even after I have sorted out the pipe, Could it be any of the boost solinoids?

I had the black N80 in last Wednesday for a dpf replacement. Top job Shane. I picked up 1ltr/100klm. I haven't heard it do a burn yet, but it mostly does 30mins of highway to a from work most days. I would have stuck my head in and said g'day but you looked so damn busy. Again, top job, fit me in on short notice and great price. Friendly service from the 2 guys that I saw. Don't know their names but thanks again to Shaggy n the tall blonde and sorry again for shorting you $100bucks. It was an accident! I think next time I'll get you to do a clutch for me. It's in the firing line.😊

Thanks Shane, I had similar fault towing a 3.4 tonne caravan back from Melbourne, in losing power on slight hills in 37 plus degrees outside air temps. Have fitted a AllTerrain hose hopefully no future problem!@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551

Hi I need some help I have a 2017 navara ys23, did a dpf delete and put in a tuned filed, car is going into limp mode without any codes or engine light....even when I turn the vehicle off and back on, it is still stuck in limp mode Please help if you can, would be much appreciated

Sounds like a bad tune file. Would need to see car to diagnose

They can do it stock, it’s a cheap investment really

Wouldn’t a more free flowing air filter fix that

Nope, have tested. More common on body lifted car as the hose being stretched caused it to collapse easier. But have seen it on non body lifted cars with aftermarket airbox and pod filter
