I never had interests in tornadoes, but I saw several funnels form in upstate NY near Oswego on July 31, 2008, or 2009. Unfortunately, I can't remember the year, but i have them on an SD card somewhere.They didn't amount to much, but I was hooked. I love to watch storms now, and every few years we have a small one go through my city or a neighboring town. I'm always watching the clouds now, to see if I can spot the rotation like we witnessed in Oswego. I understand why you do what you do, and thank you for sharing it with those of us who will never see the big ones.

Every time I see that greenish cast to the sky, following black clouds, it makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I’m equal parts fascinated by the strength and beauty of a tornado as much as I am terrified by them. I’ve had a recurring dream for the last 20 years, so vivid that I wake breathless and checking the skies for days afterwards, of a tornado so tremendous it’s like Hell opened a door. I don’t know how you do this without being scared to death, and at the same time I want to be in the back seat overcome by the thrill of it. Safe travels - wishing you golden light, always, after the green glow fades. ✨

Absolutely stunning video, and thank you for the part at the end. I'm a student at the University of Oklahoma, and the news was such a shock to hear. While I wasn't close friends with any of them, I did know Nic just from seeing him around and being in the same class as him. Not to mention I have several friends who are meteorology students as well. It's such a tragic event, those three had so much going for them and they were out there doing what they love. Rest in peace, Nic, Gavin, and Drake.

Wow, you may be the only other people that I’ve seen catch the very beginning of it’s formation besides me! It formed just a few miles from the back of my home in the Fawn Grove community, and I recorded the same thing you did! It was actually coming towards our neighborhood then it veered towards eastward, then northeast and that’s when it hit Andover! I also recorded something else, rotation in the clouds literally above our home! 😳 That rotation started while this tornado was on the ground hitting Andover! I have it all on my phone!
