A bunch of people in the comments not believing that this is genuine. I can assure you that these interactions aren't hard-coded. When I died and loaded that checkpoint, they had totally different dialogue. Marines have the same ability. It essentially works like this: 1. Enemy missing 2. Reply to comment about enemy missing 3. Reply to comment 2 4. Wrap it up It's an equation that generates random dialogue. It's ALWAYS different. Promise. Why is this different from other Halo games or most other games in general? This time it's fast, accurate, and very dynamic. The fact that so many people think this is a scripted event shows how successful the system is.

Master Chiefs helmet (a.i ) automatically translates it to English for him. So I think sometimes they are speaking English and other times it's just being translated. I remember that being in one of the halo books. Something about how the odst and Spartans have some sort of ai software that translates the aliens language.

@@Al-cm8ny not necessarily. During the human-covenant war at first both sides used translators, but as the war progressed each side began to learn each other's language. Fun fact: it was the grunts who figured out the humans language do to the fact grunts were usually guarding human prisoners and grunts actually have surprisingly high intelligence. So I'd assume now during our conflict almost every species can atleast speak english.

The campaign's are so epic and immersive's (not you halo 5) the npc's interact with other with randoom conversations or jokes, the ia's is really smart's and adaptive to players actions in combat (halo ce) and of course the human race vs aliens warfare is the charm of halo after all but the lore is more deeper if you search it.
