There was one spot in the campaign where two spec-op elites with invisibility and swords came into a room and after I killed them I was behind a wall upgrading things when I heard two grunts come in and say, "alright guys did you kill him can we go get lunch now?" And it was followed by silence, obviously, and then he said "guyyyyss" trailing the end of the word off it was hilarious I bursted with laughter

In the Geneva convention (the war treaties) its against the law to kill someone who has given up, you can't intentionally kill them if they are retreating either. I wonder if the UNSC honours the Geneva Convention Treaties.

just looked this up. Grunts range from 4'6" to 5'6" while Elites range from 7'4" to 8'6" and Brutes range from 8'6" to 9'2. If you think about it, Brutes are almost as tall as Lady Dimetrescu from Resident Evil

This also references to halo 2 on the last mission where you fight off 2 wraiths and banshees before johnson breaches the door with the scarab and if you can manage to jack a banshee a brute will fall out and will do absolutely nothing but walk towards you and make aggressive noises 😂 but i think they patched it in mcc

Their homeworld is like nearly half glassed to fuck or something by the command of an Arbiter after they rebelled against the Covenant, I think after the schism they pretty much have to side with whoever the most powerful faction available to them is out of fear of total annihilation. It wouldn't be the most satisfying thing in terms of gameplay and the overall lore but man, I'd love to see the UNSC supported liberation of the Ungoyy. Except then we'd lose the best cannon fodder enemies ever created, probably not worth it.

Only the Banished succeeded in making grunts that don't flee like cowards in the middle of a firefight. Banished grunts actually fight like soldiers. They're no longer just comic relief, they're competent relief.

this is actually a huge problem with a ton of the AI that I've found so far playing through normal, so I changed it to Legendary and.. well.. I changed it back real quick. This is definitely one of the harder Halo campaigns on legendary.
