Ask about their personal experience. Ask them why they joined? What's the hardest thing about being a member or the biggest reward? Ask about their philanthropy. Etc.

Being of interest, can someone get denied/shut down if they haven’t been involved on campus, however have been involved off campus & outside of school??

Yes you can but it's not an all or nothing type of thing. It depends on what the chapter is looking for. Some chapter want collegiate leaders over community leaders because in undergrad most of your events and service are done for and with the campus and student body. But because it is a lifetime commitment. Expected of members to carry on beyond undergrad, many may be impressed more with your community leadership 💋

Hello, I've done some community service this summer as well as throughout high school. Would it be a good idea to put my community service hours from 2015-2017 on my resume? Also how would I provide "proof" of the work I did this summer? Does the/your sorority contact the place?

+dont care Hey, yes you should include that service. And you can get a letter or log sheet from the organizer. But on the resume it should include contact info just in case. It would be to their discretion if they call or not. Hope this helps 💋

I did my interviews yesterday and I don’t think I did that good. We did in groups, so there were 2 other girls with me also getting interviewed. I have social anxiety and I hate group interviews because I end up comparing my answers to theirs. It didn’t help either because I went first and didn’t have time to think of good replies. I didn’t stutter or anything but I didn’t mention my community service or organizations I’m involved in. It was so bad. I’ll know if I got accepted by Wednesday but I doubt it

GPA but if your GPA isn't high, they may look at your trend in grades. Like if there is a specific subject you grade lower in, or if a certain semester was just overwhelming and effected your overall grade. Etc. But your GPA is what qualifies you.

It depends but its usually a minimum of about 20 minutes and can last longer depending on your answers and follow up questions.

No. Not necessarily. Like if your talking about one topic, they may include follow up questions relevant to the topic in that moment. And there may also be some last questions at the end. Its mostly a good thing. They are trying to gain clarity or more insight into you to make the best choice.

Not dumb at all. Better to ask and know than to be doing the wrong thing. It is NOT a good idea to harass them about if you've made it. Just be patient and wait for the verdict, no matter which way it goes. Because by being annoying you could cause their vote to sway negatively if they hadn't decided on you yet. Remember that they are students with academic and social lives and Greek life is only a PORTION of what they do. Do be bothering them at work, school, and social gatherings. Let your application speak for itself and be confident that it does. 💋
