Annalise Shaw... Endless numbers of us have said that, -that we hate "politics". But, we're the people, we're not the politics that have been allowed to take root and perpetuate since the beginning of this Nation's construction. We ARE our government and we need to be invested in that. I popped in on your comment to say this because, I think symantecs count when we've created such thick, blanketed statements that we've lost all sight of what anything is, pertaining to the statement. It's a shocking idea, to a great number of us, when we really allow ourselves to understand that, we're the ones who are supposed to be running this entity. That, this entity is nothing to be above us but, rather, behind us when we need the backing and, below us when we're looking for our footing to propel in our individual and collective journeys. That idea is surreal to far too many of us. The fact is, your "autonomous" life is affected constantly by the government we allow to rule and, in ways that we'd understand if only we hadn't lost our education of it. We're walking around blind, we're avoiding and handing off our literal rights, our children's futures, to ppl we don't even know because, "we hate politics", right? -I hate politics, too... They're in the same genre as greed and harming each other. But, I want my rights and I want to know what they are and how to wield them when they don't automatically work for me. It's a scary place when something happens to you and yours and it seems there's nothing you can do about it. That's the residue of politics, IME but it's NOT to be confused with what our government should be and who should be in charge of it. Otherwise, we're hating ourselves.

But... what we get is washed and brief...I wonder if we’re conditioned to dislike it, in the first place. It’s supposedly boring... but is it? Would being taught from the beginning, what privileges we have as citizens, things that will affect us throughout our entire lives and knowing how to exercise these things toward our due advantage, is that boring? I think, if taught properly, in ways that humans best collect and retain information, it would be fascinating for many of us. That’s with anything, as a curious species, IME. If we stay disinterested, if we keep to the comfort we’ve learned to have, inside the proverbial, hamster wheel/running toward the “American Dream”, we’re perpetuating immeasurable room for politics to govern our existences. It’s difficult to learn ALL this information by the time you’re an adult, having deep seated, innumerable biases, crafted by many a subconscious affecting thing, over the years. What you are suggesting is a psychopath and he doesn't show any actual signs of being one..? “I know very little about the Math PAC generally,” he said. “If it’s the case that we have the rules that we have, and people want to support my message and my campaign, given the system we have right now, they’re free to do so.” “I just hope they are aligned with my vision for the country and invest accordingly" Those are his exact words in response to accepting PAC money, a psychopath would not be so direct in their responses and would Infact opt to go on anectodal response which would primarily focus on manipulating the feelings of those around them rather they just straight up laying out the facts with a genuine air to his words. If he was a 'sociopath' as you suggested he would be completely unorganized in his life and would be emotionally unstable, unlike psychopaths, sociopaths are usually born out of emotional or physical trauma or abuse at a young age usually pre pubecent and as a result end up developing sociopathic tendencies such as a lack of remorse and guilt and violet outbursts as well as a perspective of some precieved wrong by some group of people and as a result can take out their anger and frustration on their targets and will take some satisfaction in their action often times they do have emotions and can feel guilt it is just super rare and they heavily lack the feelings of remorse (they are more nurture then nature, though due to the malleable nature of the mentally ills mind, one who is mentally ill may be more susceptible to developing such a pathology, it more heavily the fault of the environment. While a psychopath is the classic idea of a person without any real emotion, an individual who can easily blend into society, there have been occasions when a head injury caused psychopathy which goes to show it is more of a numerological deformity or damaging of the brain possibly during childbirth that causes the symptoms (which is more nature then nurture). A psychopath can have a healthy upringing and have a great childhood, they can even go without killing but their eyes and their words and feels are drenched with a superficiality. It's funny norman Bates in psycho is actually more of a socieopath. Same goes with American Psycho, this is emphasized by the confession scene where the Patrick batemen cryed like the weeping killer. A true psychopath is a character like Billy or Hans from Seven deadly psychopaths, and especially Hal 9000 and his mindset is the perfect embodiment of a psychopath, or possibly even jack Nicholson was a psychopath before entering the hotel but was pushed into delusional madness and a bloodlust by the ghosts of the hotel. Psychopaths don't need to kill and can often times blend into society, a perfect copy, a sociopath is more twisted up by society and left a sinister psychologically deformed of their former selves. They tend to both have 'the stare', this is more notable and documented on sociopaths, who tend to be far less organization and tend to care less about faking it to blend into society, psychopaths can hide it but is incredibly difficult and is usually notable, I mean Jake Paul has psychopathic tendencies not because of an even but he was born that way, his brother has similar traits but they are far less pronounced and could easily be born out of being influenced by Jake Paul himself. With Jake Paul however, at times he has the detached stare the eyes that simultaneously feel hollow and like a animal about to strike, there is something quite unsettling about the state which often constantly sits on the faces of psychopaths, Andrews eyes are far to emotive to be that of a psychopath and his family upbringing as well as his general success in life really stops the idea that he is a sociopath because unlike psychopaths, sociopaths often struggle to hold onto work

Anyone ever heard the term “history always repeats itself” mostly because ppl forget and don’t read up on history. The tax system was added in old England as a means of distributing wealth. The rich came up with the idea. Ultimately, it was the middle class and the poor that paid the most (relative to their income) If the US implements a UBI it will be the middle class and lower class that pays the most taxes even with $12k per year. If your net worth is $20 million compared to $200k, who would struggle more with a 10% tax increase?

@@DavidMorley123 Im glad we could keep this civil since most are here just to troll. My issue is that Yang doesn't really detail much of his plans. He makes blanket statements of what he wants to do, (VAT) and then goes straight to the end result in his opinion will be great revenue. He leaves out the details which make up 90% of the policy. I understand he says their will be exemptions on basic goods like groceries etc. But there is so much more to a VAT structure that many voters have questions about. One of which was asked by the young lady in this video. She mentioned smart corporations and business owners know how to pass these expenses onto the consumer. Yang avoided the question by answering a different one. In the EU, it is known how the VAT impacts consumers far more than corporations because companies only pay a portion of the price of goods while consumers pay the entire tax on the sale price. I just ask that he go into more detail because these issues have to be addressed and to just say basic goods are exempt isn't enough. On another note, I do agree our current system is broken, I do agree we need change. Im a libertarian so I don't have party loyalty. Im just not sure his plan is thought out on VAT. I do give him credit because I think he truthfully wants to do right. Unlike Creepy Joe who is owned by the establishment.

@Reshu BhattaraiTaiwan used to be controlled by the Kuomintang Party (that's the Chinese Nationalist Party), and it's that party that mass-educated and industrialized the nation. Currently, the PRC as controlled by the CCP is behaving a lot like the ROC as controlled by the KMT before democratization. Successful democracies tend to work on a relatively homogenous population, and 95-98% of the Taiwanese population are ethnic Han, speak Han language as the primary language, and have Han social customs and expectations. The USA claims to be diverse, but it is also a very homogenous in culture. There used to be segregated schools in the USA, in which ethnic Chinese people can teach their children, but now school segregation is found to be "unconstitutional". Chinese immigrants use "face" to avoid media attention, and thus media attention falls on the Latinos and Blacks - very rarely, if ever, on the Chinese. It's no wonder that Chinese immigrants are very attracted to wealthy American suburbs, living the American Dream, and these suburbs just happen to be populated by White Americans as well. Mr. Yang's policies seem rational and justified. It has an *American* focus too. Hopefully, this guy will relax on the stupid Trade War that Donald Trump has forced on China. China can then release the Uyghurs from the re-education camps. Xinjiang is pretty much a land-locked, impoverished state, so it will have to work with the wealthier parts of China for financial support and public infrastructure, such as the Belt and Road Initiative. Women are always attracted to rich men, and as Han Chinese men outnumber Han women, and that China is growing in wealth, it is possible that some of the wealth of the Han men may form interethnic marriages with Uyghur and Tibetan women, homogenizing the population further. Once Mainland China becomes majority Han, it can safely democratize like the ROC; and maybe the international image of China will improve. The democratization of China will also lead to the fall of the Kim regime in North Korea, allowing reunion of the two Korean political states.

If VAT was implemented for that yacht purchase, that’s 32.5 million dollars in tax, enough to support 2708 people’s Freedom Dividend for a year, or 55 people’s Freedom Dividend for 50 years. For Paul it was a fancy boat. For 55 people it’s their fancy life.

It isn't political, at its core it seems to be human and palatable, politics has always had an elusive quality to it, at least for me. Rapper J. Even though Yang is very data and numbers driven, and while he knows that the numbers are on his side, he still is genuinely interested in hearing the opposing ideas and cases, never to dismiss them or to show contempt just because he believes he's correct. His style of communication starts with the willingness to listen and an open mindset to find common grounds. On top of that, he always comes across as being sincere and respectful to others, even if he may completely disagree with their views! Hmm, maybe you thought Yang's planning to execute hundreds of thousands of robots, and then starve millions more of them of electricity or something. @@donngreitontordilla1456 "I hope you didn't congratulate yourself too much on your cleverness" I'm not sure how much is too much. I generally limit myself to a value similar to the RC time constant derived from 1-e^(-1). Your mileage probably varies. "but something about the idiocy of your comment really ticked me off." It doesn't take much. The hive mind responds to the slightest disturbance in the Force. What exactly were you planning to do with the "deplorables"? Maybe, like Obama, "take away their car keys"? HRC would have been president, I believe, except for her contempt for half the nation. This is what seems to make Yang different. I haven't listened to his entire speeches but such as I have heard lack contempt for anyone. Unfortunately, contempt for others is extremely common on the left as you well demonstrate.
@thomasmaughan47985 жыл бұрын
@@donngreitontordilla1456 On a more serious note, since you were triggered before realizing the actual substance of my comment, and on realizing that what afflicts you is probably widespread, I will explain: People of the Left and People of the Right are different; spectacularly, extremely different, more different than the typical man is from the typical woman (in my opinion and experience). Things important to the right aren't even on your radar; there is a type of blindness where it cannot even be described or explained. Same going the other way. Someone like Yang *might* succeed in getting Left and Right on the same *train* figuratively speaking, but that does not mean Left and Right will be united; it simply means that goals can be aligned such that the labors of Leftwingers and the labors of Rightwingers can be made *complementary* and benefit the nation as a whole. This is already somewhat the case which is why the United States is still the United States; producers (Republicans) are complementary with consumers (Democrats) each needs the other even when mutually despised. Joseph Stalin's method of creating a "we" was to eliminate most of the producers. So did France in the Time of Troubles (French Revolution) and so is Venezuela right now. The right has good reason to believe socialism's next experiment must fail as surely as every preceeding experiment failed. That also is unique for Yang; giving everyone a thousand dollars a month isn't exactly socialism and consequently might work. Socialism will kick in when the Democrats go hunting for money to give away; it must always be OPM, other people's money, and there just isn't enough of it.
@thomasmaughan47985 жыл бұрын
@@donngreitontordilla1456 You might notice several of my comments challenge the very identity of "we" as in "We can force corporations to pay their fair share and rewrite the rules of the economy to work for us" I can spot a Democrat reliably, even when pretending to be a Republican, with two words: "we" and "fair". I double dog dare anyone to define "fair" in anything resembling a universally acceptable way. It tends to mean "I want what you have". Who is "we"? Well, I will leave you to ponder who exactly is "we" and why anyone else wants to be in that herd or hive. It is extremly presumptuous and manipulative. I don't get the guy's stubbornness with the Wealth tax. It only sounds appealing because of its name, but if you can't learn from the failings of other countries, then what are you supposed to learn from? The successes - the VAT. It's easy and anyone who has an open smart mind understands why wealth tax is inferior. Yang has a degree in economics, and literally staked out why VAT 1. isn't regressive coupled with UBI and 2. what is is and why it's better. Yang is the one. He sees it. If only that guy could too.

Don't be frustrated with that guy, it's the sound of a Warren supporter turning . He will have sleepless nights thinking about the reality of what Yang says , the incisive logic and fight against the easily digestible babble of Warren , he will sweat out his fascination with the wealth tax and have a beautiful morning , when the sun will smile at him which will remind him of yangs full bellied laughter . He will pick up a math hat , and proudly proclaim #YangGang

@@ToraTheGoldenRetriever Yeah. Like wealth tax does nothing when the richest are so good at hiding wealth and moving their assets around like crazy. No one has asked the real questions as of yet! They keep talking inequality, they need to shut up about that! Start talking about the realities of living! When universities got the news that money would be available to all without much regulation, it DROVE THE COST UP 200-300%!!!! So, when the 1k rolls out, what will prevent the cost of living to be driven up because of demand and prices that will adjust for that, and when another president decides to cut the 1k, what will prevent the gov from doing that!? AND...once the 1k is taken out, the cost of living wont go down (it hasn't for many years now), so what happens then!?

Problem with wealth Tax: 1- how to do you determine what is wealth that can be tax (Money, Property, business ownership, life insurance, Stocks, etc. There would be huge bureaucracy trying to administer this). 2 - You would have capitol flight. The rich will transfer the money to other countries, you would end up with less money and investment in your region. 3. The rich will hire the best accountants to move money around and game the system. This is why they were repealed in the countries that tried it. With a VAT Tax, Amazon would pay a sliver for every cardboard box they buy. Right now they account this as business cost and pays 0 in taxes. It's hard to game this system unless you don't want to participate in this economy. Jeff Bezos would be paying taxes on those billion dollars rockets, and the money will filter straight to common peoples hands. Over 90 percent of people on the bottom will have increased buying power with the freedom dividend.
