short story.. the year before I attended Morehouse College, Maxwell was a new artist and was booked to perform the homecoming. He did, and because the brothers weren't familiar and because perhaps they weren't his core audience, he got booed, so I heard. Fast forward to my freshman year, his music is playing in all dorm halls in the AUC.. That summer I ran into him at the store, while wearing my Morehouse hat. He looked at me and I blurted out, " I wasn't there yet, I just started!" ... Fortunately he burst into laughter and we hugged it out. He's a really good dude! Also my late cousin was a backup singer for him and always said he was a great guy
