He speaks a lot of his personal growth in his interviews from the last year or so and it shows in his music. His TEDTalk on mental real estate is a particularly good listen. He references how he moved on from carrying bitterness during the time period he was indebted to his ex manager and other stuff going on in his life. For me, "Give You Blue" is genuinely one of the best songs ever written. There are a handful of songs that once you hear them you think, "this song is timeless." I wasn't even halfway through Give You Blue for the first time when that thought crossed my mind.
@kidkoryo2 жыл бұрын
I would group it with my all-time favorites like: Gravity - John Mayer Tennessee Whiskey - Chris Stapleton Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley If I Ain't Got You - Alicia Keys Hold On - Alabama Shakes Heaven up There - Palace They just give you goosebumps, you know?

One of the most sonically sound and pleasing Tiny Desks I’ve seen. Between Al and the background singers the pianist everything compliments each other perfectly. When their not there you barely notice and when they join in you feel as if they’ve been there the whole time. Thank you for this.

Allen is officially my favorite best male vocalist. The vocal control.... breathing technique.....and the falsetto is smooth and excellent belting technique as the cherry on top
