nyquist criterian continued ... we are looking for # encirclements in nyquist plot of OL tx func to guess the stability of CL tx func. 0:00 Nyquist criteria : For CL syst, the locus of G(jw) H(jw) as w varies from -inf to + inf must encircle the --1 point K times in CCW Modified nyquist criteria in case OL poles and/ or zeros lie on jw axis 6:30 relative stability : 19:40 a syst with CL poles more towrds left on LHP will be relatively more stable than the one with poles closer to jw axis becoz it will be more tolerant of changes in poles positions wrt time or due to parametric variations or modelling errors etc, being farther from jw axis. Yet being farther, its rise times will be higher i.e. the syst will be slower ito of dynamic response than the one closer to jw axis.

Why zeros are considered for stability in closed loop system? If poles lie in rhp, is it ok? In nyquist plot

see , we are considering zeroes of 1+ G(s)H(s) , because they are poles of CLTF

after very long time I am referring this contours and stability of residuals , prof. balki once taught this portion during complex analysis ,it was mind blowing lecture series 👀😂
