Add me to those who miss the center stage. I am a long-time attendee but I don't know how long I'll keep coming with this current configuration. It's just too far away. I don't want to drive 500 miles to watch a screen.

We were relegated to Section 106 when move was made from Louisville to Pigeon Forge. First year with the stage in the center our seats were very comparable to seat we had in Louisville, however, when stage was moved to the back, Section 106 was moved to the far right of stage with little or no view of the artists. Very disappointed with season tickets we now have. Not sure how long we will continue coming, if seating is not changed.

It was understandable moving to the side stage position the last two years with the pandemic. But with this set-up, your worst seats are the entire building away. With the center configuration, all the “back” or “worse” seats are relatively all equal in that they all are only half the distance of the facility away. Since there is no livestream to benefit from the fact that the artists are facing the same direction all the time, it seems like a move back to center would be a more fan-friendly seating arrangement. However, the side stage position does allow more privacy for the artists and speakers and a bit of safety to them in that they only have people facing them on one side as they perform which is an important consideration. But the thing I loved about the “in-the-round” placement of the platform was that, like in Freedom Hall. It gave it. “big concert, big event aura and feel to the convention. Don’t get me wrong…I’m 100 percent glad we’re in Pigeon Forge…I just like the center platform “in-the-round” placement better than what we’ve got now with the side.

Put the stage back in the middle people. I’ve gone to almost every NQC in the past 23 years and this is by far the worst configuration yet! That’s saying a lot because last years stunk bad too

I personally love the front stage format. Viewing screens are larger and sound quality is top notch. Artist’s do not have to have their back to anyone during the performances, so much better than in the round. I’ve been to NQC for past 8 years, I know not as much as many who’ve attended more than my lifetime, but I just prefer this single sided stage layout.

Good gravy train, I didn't know it was so huge. I always wanted to attend but not if I had to sit so far away.

I was told by a board member that the risers were the reason for leaving the ky fair grounds was there were to many patrons falling on.the risers an it was not safe. Is this not a fact or who is telling what? Pleade advise as to the truth on this matter

I’ve been going to NQC since 1976; started in the nosebleed section and over the years worked my way up to row 25. With the “stage in the middle” configuration I was able to work my way up to row two. Since the new “stage at the front” configuration, I am now relegated back about 20 rows. Please put us back to how it was in Louisville. There were more screens and nobody had a bad seat.

Went to Pigeon Forge the 1st year and was never so disappointed with a new building! Just a flat floor and a few small TV''s. Being short, I could not see without bending to one side or another. We said never again. Louisville was 100x better in seating and viewing!!!!

NQC Stands for (National Quartet Convention). It's an annual event that usually last one week. This year will be the 65th year anniversary. It started in 1957 as an event that celebrated gospel musics best and most popular QUARTETS. It's a far cry from what it's original objective was. Today it sadly is overwhelmed with trios, family groups and all sorts of groups of mixed gender combinations that sound more like contemporary and rock. A lot sorely lack vocal quality but bury their sound in dominating sound tracks and instrumentation. This NO LONGER represents the best of "quartet" music.

The Leconte Center is a beautiful building but it is poorly designed for an event like NQC.It is designed for trade shows and car shows, not concerts. If they want to still have NQC in the area, I would suggest moving it to Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville. The seat layout is much better and the concourse areas would allow for the movement of the crowds much better than the Leconte Center does.
