Video commences at Midland, in the car parking area opposite the heritage listed Western Australia Government Railways Workshops.
In view is the recently installed security fence. barricading off a section of public parking area. This is due to the continuing construction works, associated with the new MIidland Train Station Precint being built. The new terminus for Midland line suburban trains from Perth.
A favourite parking spot, in the blocked off area. Is under the two Illawarra Flame Trees. A great shady spot, for train watching during summer.🙂
Hear the chatter of the very attractive Rainbow Lorikeets. Though common on the eastern seabound from Queensland to South Australia. They are a declared pest in Western Australia. Dept of Agriculture, has an ongoing extermination programme in place.
The blue wrapping around the construction scaffold works seen in the background. Is the site of the new multi-level car park building for Transperth passengers.
The new Midland train station, will be constructed opposite the camera location, on the north side of the freight lines.

Then seen again. from Katrine Road near Northam. On the big curve, west of Avon Yard.
