The 2 dislikes are the ppl who spent hours setting the record just for you to break it

I don't know about those two, but I'm the third to dislike it, and I did so because I've seen guys for years run 1:10 laps~ I can't do 1:10, or even 1:12, but to say 1:12 is a "world record" when guys have been running 1:10's on a fixed setup for years is pretty absurd, and in my opinion merits a dislike~

I was driving the same car, when I started with the NR2003 (veery long ago). Now, after decade of driving, I still can't drive at the level like you, but... I am not sad (why to be), as someone must be in the middle or at the end of grid :) .

Well... back in the day, when nr2003 was the top sim, I've seen people doing 1:10 at the Glen and several people doing 12s... so this to be world record, yeah... But fast anyway! 💪 Edit: vanilla nr2003 and not cloudy obviously

There's no way to verify those laps unfortunately, this is abiding by the speedrun.com rules. I believe that 1:10's for sure can happen though.

It's all about practice and really thinking about what the car is doing and why!

looked like Robby Gordon attacking the inner loop like that! Any tips on road courses...you seem to be really good at them. I struggle mightily. I remember running in league races just hoping to finish on the lead lap hahaha

Sorry for the late reply! In NR2003 in particular, the downshifting and braking is where you can make your money. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZnWlWd-jbhkkJY If you take a look at that lap, you can see that I never completely let go of the gas. NR2003 is goofy in that if you keep some throttle in it you can rapidly downshift and slow down extremely quickly without unsettling the car. It takes some getting used to but once you are able to abuse this you will be a lot faster.

Several guys at OSW have ran 1:10 laps.. so I don't see how this was ever a "world record".. perhaps a "personal best".. but not even close to a "world record"~
@Buttermilkjug3 жыл бұрын
Pretty funny this is claimed as the "world record".. if you ran at Openspeedway, you'd be over 10 seconds behind the leaders in 5 laps with that "world record" time~

OSW = Open WreckWay Their setups were total garbage dump trucks, the owner intentionally wrecked when I lapped him at watching in a short race, mouse was sad at driving. When the sime started dying, I raced open WreckWay and won 87% of the races I entered for the month, sad place to race.
