3:53 "absolute sewing machine" . The Japanese called them Jukis. Juki is a Japanese company that makes heavy duty sewing machines present day and I'm sure before WW2.

In 1920, they made the Type3 in 7x57 for Chile ( Mo.1920) A small lot came on the British Sched.5 market in the early 1980s. From here, it was acquired from the Importer to save it from the 96 confiscation, and with a 7,62 NATO Barrel, became a blank fire Movie Gun. Starred in " Thin Red Line", "Great Raid", Kokoda", " 1942- End of Empire" Works we with Blank 7,62N, and also Ball ( for Sound Recording). DocAV AVB Film Guns Australia.

They mention the Type 38 rifle at 0.53, but they then show a Type I rifle (which is based on the Type 38).

Type 3 were used by Imperil Japanese Navy on auxiliary vessels such as gunboats, small (2500 - 3500 GRT) merchant ships converted to auxiliary gunboats. They were used as patrol vessels and escorts for convoys early in the war.
