I just bought an RP63. Fell in love with the look and ordered one through my dealer. The one with the laminated grips, not the rubber grips. Shoulda found one to actually hold in my hand first. The grip is a tad small for the size of my hand. I got to used to EC'ing my 1911's and am used to that hand full feel. The RP63 has a lot smaller diameter and my little finger nearly goes below the grip. I don't put my trigger finger inside the trigger guard until I'm ready to pull the trigger and my finger is just a hair to long to make the move smoothly. I get it there but it does drag pretty heavy on the trigger guard. Buyer beware. If you're thinking about buying one, go find one and hold it first. Fwiw, my Bond Arms Snakeslayer is actually easier to handle and fire than the RP63 is and it has a trigger guard as well. Loaded with 38 specials, I think this may be more of a small woman's gun.

Any chance you've removed the laminate grips and looked to see if they are marked by who makes them for Rossi?

They should have used the frame with the adjustable sights on this model also because it has no sight picture and use different springs to bring the trigger to a reasonable level, when they do this they will sell many of these revolvers.

Rossi by Taurus, made in Brazil. And the same thing with the Heritage Roscoe, made by Taurus. My brother-in-law has the Roscoe in both the 2 and 3 inch versions. It's a really cool looking little 5 shot 38 with a gorgeous blue finish. 👍

Pretty good-looking revolver for a Rossi budget handgun.

Interesting it has the old style hammer mounted firing pin.The big question is how much MIM parts does it have under the hood?

A 2" option would be welcomed. Rossi lost a contrived lawfare suit in Alaska over a user mishandled 461 some years ago and recalled the 451 s and 462 s, then withdrew from revolver marketing. Wiser owners held onto those guns and those who complied got a Taurus replacement and remorse. If the RP s are up to the standards of the predecessor generation these should regain a following. I'm looking out for 1 at the local gun shop to inspect but would prefer a 2" barrel with smaller grips. Just acquired a Diamondback SDR so I'm a buyer not a busybody lookielou.

😐 It looks better than Torus, but. I don't think it's on the Gavin Nuisance roster

it does look nice, but it is a Taurus. and their quality is hit or miss. and sometimes they don't fix what is wrong when you send it back ( happened 3 times to me), and their customer service sucks.

Aaand, it’s still a Taurus any way you cut it. Nope 👎🏻.
