NRG Arin & Sora - custom LEGO Ninjago minifigures

Hello, again. Today we are back with another Ninjago customs. We are taking a look at the newest members of the Ninja team - Arin and Sora.
With Dragon Rising S1 releasing last year, Ninjago has proven it still kicks... butts. Yeah, the new show is pretty cool. Sometimes I felt it was a bit too... direction less? Or I just felt there were too many gags and filler moments. And I am still ticked off that we haven't seen Pixal at all and that Jay was just almost forgotten about ( hopefully he makes a kick-ass comeback in part 2 of season 2 ). But overall it's awesome. I love what they did with Lloyd's character and I just as much love the new characters. Which leads us to the video's topic.
Arin and Sora are the two new main characters - almost kinda like the next generation of Ninja.
Arin has no elemental powers, but that doesn't stop him from being a competent team member. The dude is all about Spinjitzu. And while he still struggles with it, under Lloyd's guidance he'll probably become an unstoppable master of it ( he even created a new technique - Object Spinjitzu ).
Sora is the elemental master of technology ( don't ask me how that works, but we've seen more specific elements, so whatever). Just as Arin, she is still just a trainee and has a lot to learn - both with fighting styles and her powers. Also, her design may be a bit over the top, 'cause she's like a typical gamer girl, with the cat ears and all, but she is still awesome nonetheless.
What I love about Arin and Sora is that they are actual dynamic characters. They struggle, grow and learn. And it's especially awesome to see that they are nowhere near the level of our classic Ninja and they even often have to get rescued by them. But! (butt) They do have their moments to shine. Also love the dynamic they have with Lloyd, as he just became like Sensei Wu to them. Lovely stuff.
Anyway, to welcome them amidst the Ninja team, I want to make the best suits ( my opinion ) that the Ninja have. So, let us make NRG suits of Arin and Sora and have their true potential unleashed.

I find them both really cool I definitely prefer Soras over Arins I feel with Arins you could use gold paint for his patterns so you can see the design it might just be that on camera its hard to see but idk I definitely think you should try Wyldfyre next but keep up the good work!

Oh thanks. Well it's often pretty challenging. It takes time and practice. And using a needle pin helps to paint such small details

Yeah, I get it. But her having a blue suit would've kinda overlapped with Jay, so I think pink was actually a better choice

Oh, I never considered that. Also just realized that of all the NRG minifigs Zane is the only one that has a different color instead of his original white. Huh. The more you know. But right now I don't I'll be doing it, 'cause well I think Zane's NRG Minifigures looks cool as it is

I plan to make all the Ninja suits that Nya didn't have. So up to Possession, where she finally became a Ninja. That makes 10 custom suits of which I have 2. So it's gonna take a long time for sure. Let me lIst them: Training, DX, ZX, NRG, kimono, techno, stone armor, tournament, jungle and deepstone armor. So yeah, it might take time, because my motivation is often... Not constant. So I'll see when I get down to it.

Oh I actually thought about that. Cause lately I've been thinking about just making NRG suits for the main Ninja and stuff, but I was like - wouldn't a custom suit for Morro be good? He is an elemental master after all. But do you think that a custom suit for him should be green or a different color? Cause green was kinda just Lloyd's and the power of wind wouldn't really be green related.

Oh I was thinking of making NRG suits for both of them, but firstly I want to make DX and NRG suits for the new Ninja. So Arin, Sora and Wyldfyre. After that I'll think of how these suits for Wu and Garmadon could look.

Oh yeah, maybe later on they will start making some knock-off Dragons Rising Minifigures. These fake LEGOs often have something unique to them, so they're worth checking out
