@Vladislav & co. I feel Ike struggles heavily against characters that are straight out faster than him with similar disjoints. Lucina's superior speed in terms of ground and aerials would totally snuff out Ike's nair, fair, and bair.

Bomb Demon Jackal I honestly don’t think Lucina really struggles that heavily against anyone to be honest. She is the most consistent top tier in my opinion which likely explains why everyone uses her. If Ike can’t properly space someone out with his nair and other aerials, he struggles a lot. I felt this was why Leo struggled so much in the crew battle with Japan.

@@christopherhicks9944 no doubt, but in my opinion she almost perfectly reflects the skill level of the person playing her if a top tier player plays her she becomes top tier she has the tools to be great and if a great person plays her then she is so, but as i think it mentions in this match or maybe another if lucy mis spaces she leaves herself wide open and if someone of equal skill is playing an ike against her then being able to stay just out of reach of her whilst keeping her just in range of ikes sword becomes something they pick up on and abuse no doubt lucy is top tier, but i would say she struggles against those with a bit more reach

@@spectre7877 I feel Nairo and Leo are roughly similar skill levels though. Out of the characters Nairo could have chosen, I honestly believe Lucina would have easily been the best choice especially considering that he says she's likely his best character. I feel Palutana struggles with those that are up close and in her face. She is also not super heavy, so that just made it an already bad match up. I felt ZSS was a better choice as she is faster with good range, but Lucina has those advantages with disjoints in her kit as well. You also must take into account that Nairo isn't even fully maining her like he did in Smash 4 and thus doesn't have the match up knowledge like someone like Marss would.

Nairos Ganon being so goog has nothing to do with Ganon being good. It has to do with how Online works, even Nairo knows this. he will never play ganon at a tourney if anything he cares for is at stake.

@@ClintonChelak I completely agree women do receive more criticism specially in gaming communities. My criticism is not aimed at her being a woman but rather that her commentary was not as great and seemed more like that of a local where people screaming in the mic is common. Secondly commentators have different vocal tones and some are more pleasing than others which affects our perceptions. We can say that some individuals are more fit for commentary roles because of thr quality of the voice, and yes when she screamed it was extremely high pitch and hurt my ears. In this video she seems to have toned it down which is great and shows maturity on her part, learning is always great for any commentator.

You're probably right though. She is the most polished commentator partially because of the one-sided criticism. If you take the time to listen to Vish, HBox, D1, Keitaro, etc, etc, half of what they say is bull crap "strategy", woahs, screams and "is that it?"s

I feel for Nairo with those grab wiffs. The timing of dropping shield and turning to grab PLUS the nerfed grab range makes for a bad situation when you rely on your years of muscle memory to take over.

No. The counter pick component still applys. If the winner chooses to switch. The loser of that round still has the opportunity to counter pick. Which makes it fair in tourney rules

wtf was that first round...why would you try and fight in close range combat when you can outrange him with your other attacks? Especially when he outranges you in close combat... you could at least counter... his dash attacks are so slow and predictable...

The thing with palu's range attack if shielded or dodged the palu can easily get dicked on the ranged attacks have so much lag and unless your in a safe lead or distance throwing out the side b means a easy punish also counter is very unreliable if he missed the counter instantly dead no doubt
