don't think his origin record will do him any favours though, immortals stand out in origin, And cleary hasn't been able to get to that level. He should be dominating with the NSW side he has been in and yet he somehow always goes missing. grand finals are great but its been done by great players before. the rep stage is where immortals are made.

@@Luke-rt9gynot necessarily, it’s more of all the rep they receive in their career. Like playing for Australia/Kangaroos on an international level, NRL Premiership runs, Dally M Medals, Ambassadorships and off field work. If origin was a factor Andrew Johnson played 23 series and only won 5 times.

Darren Lockyer, Andrew johns, Thurston, slater and smith and even langer have all dominated in origin at some point and been the best on field, in joeys case he may not have won many but when he did he was the reason they won. cleary has been in arguably the odds on favourite team almost his entire career and still has not been able to win. someone like moses comes in and proves how easy it really should be currently.
