The way I see it is generally the tougher the sport, the more humble the athletes. You obviously get a few drop kicks across the board but as a whole that’s how it usually is. Not trying to knock AFL but personally I wouldn’t call it a tough man’s sport. Thats why I hope league makes a move away from the bunker coz now you even get players putting on acts like there playing soccer or something and that’s just disrespectful to the sport as a whole in my eyes.

Mate fighters are some of the most funny and immature people in the world. There is absolutely no correlation with toughness and humble. Every nrl interview is the same, something along the lines of “thanks fans, thanks coach and a special thanks to the team”- it’s just always been like that.
