Luai has gone under the radar for having one of the best years. Carried without Nathan for a lot of the season, had an outstanding Origin series and played awesome in the GF. Losers will still find a way to hate and bring him down.

Jarome has always been a great player and now he has a family life is more settled. He is going to get wests off the bottom of the table and he will be missed at the panthers.

I thought Mitch Kenny went under the radar. How hard he tackled must have shaken the confidence of the storm players trying to come through the middle

Let's just appreciate what a dog of a team Penrith are, win or lose they absolutely try and break you mentally and physically, then emotionally. We are honestly witnessing history before our eyes but everyone keeps coming up with reasons why they aren't the best. The coaching staff are absolute chess masters Ivan is on another level he's the ultimate strategist Also the biggest point of the game everyone is missing. Munster knocks on and Fisher Harris just stares at him, not pat on the head or abuse to ruffle him up, big fish new if he gets under munsters skin Munster uses that as fuel and goes on a tear, fish just looked at him stoned cold emotionless and that won the game.

I actually think Erin Clark really deserves his spot for the kiwi's. His game has developed and changed so much since he started as a halfback and he can almost have that Spencer Lenui effect if they play him off the bench for shorter minutes. He's a really impactful player and super versatile because of his ball playing ability

for the immortals question, the answer is simple. We have Australian immortals, nzrl can organize there own immortals and the and england can do the same.
@SlaintheMhathСағат бұрын
Immortals was started by rugby league week magazine, it really wasn't all that important at the time, it was a promotion, same as the dally m it was a newspaper award. The poms have a RL hall of fame.

the thing that impresses me somuch about the panthers is their ability to play flashy and expansive but then grind it out and then go beast mode they can switch it up whatevr it take theyre prepared to do it and can execute for long sustained periods at an elite level no one can hang with them

5/6 grandfinal wins since 2000 for Panthers. Its a pretty good return 👌 17 years in the wilderness between 03 and 20 but this has been dreamland stuff as a fan.

'67 to '90 was a long wait and they lost to a stacked raiders side but got them the next year so it is 6/8 which is 75%.

this is the highlight of the week as always🔥🔥 how good was the 2024 season. Just lightly you boys added some fantastic content during every week of each round and we all appreciate you boys. Thoughts on this: 2025 levels road trip, you mase and lukey can do some live shows across the nation with fans in attendance and then at each stop a golf day is included. Love your work always legends. Enjoy the time you both get off this offseason, thank you for all the great content week in and out. ❤

Regarding New Zealand possible immortals Sonny Bill should be an immortal. I don’t care He didn’t play many years in the NRL. He won a comp as a rookie and then came back and won AGAIN after being one of the best in the world in the other code. He also won the World Cup if I’m not mistaken! Otherwise James Fisher Harris could get into the discussion with taking Warriors to a big finals run in the coming years, or captains NZ to World Cup glory… Thoughts gents?

So sick of Melbourne, always whinging. They got Gus demoted from the NRL GF this year because they reckon he is biased. What about Joey and the knights, Gal and the sharks, Billy and Cam and the storms, JT and the cowboys, Locky and the broncs. I was so pissed off at the way Gus was treated, I can't think of anyone who has done more for the game.

Better coaching at Penrith. Had issues with catching play 5 kicks everytime they played Storm and their tall boys. They caught Bellyache out with letting storm catch and smothering their wingers. Then Alimoti caught that massive one at the end. Phenomenal machine are the Panthers.

Storm made the same mistake Brisbane made. They got ahead and wanted to try play the grind game with Panthers. Nobody grinds better. They burnt out their own attack by gravitating toward the hitup gameplan. Hitups for 80 = no points.

I think their game plan was pretty simple.. take hughes out of the play.. best 7 in the game was restricted all game.. munster doesnt have much of a kicking game, so he wasnt as much of a threat.. then they just jammed up their inexperienced middle edge.. any other team panthers put in 50.. Cleary outcoached the Supercoach

Sorry boys, the Storm have only won four premierships in their history. 1999, 2012, 2017, and 2020. Bellamy wasn't the coach in '99. The Panthers since '98 have won in 2003, 2021, 2022, 2023, and now 2024. More premierships in the NRL era than the Storm, and Ivan Cleary has won more than Bellamy. On top of that, 12 consecutive finals wins, the most in history.

"...who they wanted to become". Idle words from Cleary BECAUSE he is the person who walked into another man's house having not laboured a day on that house. Watch the respect given to Gus Gould on the post GF panel by our rugby league greats. I can't wait for Cameron Ciraldo's memoir, and always remember Cam came to Gus a year earlier than planned.

Edwards is one of the most overrated players that is lucky enough to play in one of the greatest teams , offers very little besides a great engine and a decent defensive game . Yet is often regarded as the best fullback in the game purely based on Penrith’s success , if you put him in any other team ( besides Melbourne maybe ) he would not be considered for top 3 fullback
@rodwellchigome756725 минут бұрын
Not every player is flash in the great teams. You need reliability which he offers. Ponga is class, but will offer a couple knock ons or suspect under high ball, Teddy doesn't know how to pass. Look what the Panthers did to Papi. They relegated him to a bystander. I'd take the reliability of Edward's over the others everyday.
@damonoconnell89197 минут бұрын
@@rodwellchigome7567 no doubt he is a good player, better than average I just don’t see how he gets put as the best 1 in the game , I just can’t see him doing what the other fullbacks do in lesser teams . I think all fullbacks ( teddy ponga turbo ) fully fit offer way more , but as you said Edwards consistency is a big factor I’ll admit
