However what’s normal about taking drugs which will inhibit your ability to drive, getting behind the wheel of a Ute. Then driving unlicensed and driving a vehicle unregistered and injuring other people. Actions have consequences despite his age. He should be sacked by the Broncos and deregistered by the NRL for 2 years. He is lucky he didn’t kill anyone…

Ezra Mam is not a “kid”. He’s a young adult but an adult nevertheless. As an adult he’s old enough to vote, get a tattoo, play professional rugby league, gamble, buy alcohol, smoke, and have consented sex. If he has the ability to make all those types of decisions then he’s old enough to know that what he did in this situation was the wrong thing to do. He should be punished accordingly. One of my best mates died aged 21 being hit by someone drug and drunk driving. There’s no excuses for it. Erza should be banned from the NRL for at least 12 months.
