I didn’t have the Kiwi commentators but I had whoever was commentating on fox and geez it was a hard listen as a manly fan. All I heard was, “that was lucky from manly”, “warriors a bit hard done by here”, “warriors got unlucky there”, “warriors are playing some exceptional footy”, warriors this warriors that. Was so annoying.

I was at this game with my kids, Games this season are never over Manly were good in that first half, Warriors dropped alot of ball in some good areas. But I give credit to the warriors for never giving up both teams will go away happy and disappointed with some areas, probably moral victory for Manly coming to NZ and geeting a point, crowd was great as always

I don't understand why People are say the last penalty was the wrong call. Its in the NRL rule book and you are not suppose to be in contact with the kicker under any circumstance and he made contact with shauns Leg even after the ball was kicked!! 🙄

Definitely some positives to take from this for the Warriors - Manly are a very high quality side, historically the game would have been over after having 18 points planted on them in a few minutes. Great game in the end, very hard fought!

Weather was rubbish didn’t favour either team. Warriors shouldn’t have let in easy tries at the start. DCE got a lucky bounce of the ball and that just happens. What a grind of a match. Both very equal teams. Can’t wait for the rematch at Manly.

You can deflect the ball from the kicker but you can't come into potentially dangerous contact with the kicker. Whether intentional or not it's the rules. It's the same as getting penalized for a high tackle even though the player isn't injured.

It is called blocking if he is successful at stopping the trajectory of the kicked ball. It is a tackle if the kicker still has the ball. After the ball is gone that is late. Kicker is in a prone position tackle is dangerous play, penalty. If the tackler cannot get his timing right and runs into the kicker after the ball is gone, who is at fault?

@oldblack15 The tackler is at fault.. The kicker has full intentions of kicking the ball.. If the tackler commits to the ball player and hits him without possession of the ball, that is an infraction, penalty, etc.. In the action of this, the tackler has to decide whether to fully commit to tackle the kicker or block the ball from being propelled to the proposed position and / or both.. It's a fine line of execution, requires skill, great timing, and precision..
