NRM MPs vetted for 13 Parliamentary Committee chairs

The Government Chief Whip in Parliament, Hamson Obua, says that due diligence has been concluded for all NRM MPs who expressed interest in chairing 13 Parliamentary Sectoral Committees. The leadership positions of the committees fell vacant after the expiry of the terms of the previous officebearers. Over 100 MPs who subscribe to the ruling NRM Party have expressed their willingness to chair the committees, according to Hamson Obua. The Central Executive Committee of the National Resistance Movement Party has the mandate to approve suitable candidates.
