I'd love to see you put out a jumping tutorial. I'm a big guy as well, but quite a bit older than you. You make jumps seems effortless, and don't seem to be carrying a ton of speed. But I just can't get the technique down. You don't look like you're really doing a lot when you come off the jump, but you get really good height and distance.

I’m like Mike on this one. I’m 49 at 220 lbs, been XC riding for almost my whole life, but never learned how to efficiently catch air on the jumps, drop the big drops, and ride some manuals. 😔 Latetly I’ve been blaming my weight and age. However, watching people older and heavier than me do all these things with ease, I should have no excuses. I need to get over the fear of “impact” and ride more than just once a week. I give you many kudos for your biking achievements and for showing me that weight is just a number, not something that’s holding me back. 😎

You are an inspiration for me to get back into riding. Used to ride so much when I was younger, downhill, local trails etc. Glad you are kicking ass! I’m still trying to find a bike to buy for my chunky butt (240 with gear, 5’10) without going in debt (prices are super high compared to when I rode) So many bike brands out there with all similar components but pricing all over. Recently saw diamondback still is in the game with really good reviews and for the prices you get even better components then other well known brands for a thousand less. Their frames are made by kinesis industry who makes frames for tons of reputable bike brands. Might give them a try. The Diamondback RELEASE 29 3 looks sick. What’s the main thing to look at when choosing a bike for heavier rider, suspension? I already know to stick with an alloy frame from what I read.
