NS 296 blasts off down the W-Line out of East Spartanburg with a LONG & fully loaded train!

Recorded 5/3/2024 at 7:43 pm. Here's another video of probably my favorite train in the area now. This train, in my book, is still worth going for. I don't have a problem with the power at all. The train is truly just so fulfilling. Not a single empty well car is usually on this train ‘most’ days during the week, and it's SO long now! 296 (formerly 20D) was more consistently about 7K - 8K feet for a while, but now it's a monster of about 11K feet on the daily. I love that. If only 243 and 242's intermodal cuts could be longer, especially 243.... Anyways, nothing much else to say about this one. Hope you all enjoy the video.

Nice catch! 242 and 243 would definitely be more exciting to catch if they were back to their normal size pre-2023. Imagine if 243 being a massive size with stacks and autoracks. Aw man, that would be great!

Thanks for watching Josh. 243 was just that when it was under its old symbol of 237. Had plenty of uni-level and bi-level stacks up front, followed by a big cut of containers, then bare tables. It used to be quite a monster everyday before Trump became president and PSR happened. 🤷🏾‍♂️
