Back in those days and even as far back to the Southern in the 70’s it was a rare treat to see foreign power. Especially Conrail. I remember, as a kid, getting so excited seeing those blue engines.

I was a clerk @ Sheffield Yard and worked the Tonnage job which built 152....I also hauled the crews and delivered waybills to the train....It was the only "corporate" train that originated @ Sheffield Yard while I was clerking there in the 80's and 90's....it was one hot train....better not mess up when handling this one!

@rongenman Very cool! Yep, I have worked with some guys who were clerks back in those days with Southern / NS. Heard some similar stories from them, different time back then. Lot of responsibility given to clerks, but usually not too much respect.

Little more background on the 6825. This engine eventually went to CSX as part of the Conrail break-up in 1999. It's not on the roster anymore from what I've seen, sold to NREX. My guess is it's still around as a lease engine or probably scrapped.
