It was mentioned in this video that production of these guitars would begin in January. Being Summer Namm 2015 that would imply production would start January 2016. Been waiting for this NS Design guitar for years. Now we're in March 2017 and not a word about it. Also since Gibson bought the Steinberger brand they stopped production of the Synapse line. Luckily I found a used SS2F Custom Synapse for a reasonable price. But I really would like an NS guitar w/ the piezo and humbuckers.

Like all of the previous posts, I have been keeping on eye open for any information on the production line release, or maybe a C&D letter from Gibson killing the whole idea. The factory where the production would be is NBE in the Czech Republic, where the basses are crafted, alongside the Brian May Red Special, Spector basses, and the well respected historic Jolana range, all excellent quality products. I haven't seen any NSD activity at Namm in 2016/17 either.

This guitar has been coming out "soon" for a few years now. Last i heard was the summer of 2016. Ned stated that in 2015... Well it's Summer time 2017 & still waiting. :-/
