I first heard this song sung by Tony Rice, Ricky Scaggs , JD himself and Dobro-man Jerry Douglas. It is a a recording done with these guys while giving talks on Bluegrass and the instruments in between songs. Simply love that video (on youtube now) So glad to see JD still dong well up to this time. Bluegrass fan from South Africa

What a great mix, even some of my favorite movie themes and a couple of classical pieces... loving the Sally Goodin versions and still missing Tony Rice ... thanks and keep the pickin' alive!

Amazing musician, Ricky Wasson is a class act in every aspect of what he does.

Amen to that! I love so many musics - modal jazz, prog metal, folk and bluegrass and soul and blues and hip-hop and classical and psychedelic rock...there's just so much out there to experience. The common thread is a relentless exploration and a purity of intent; "genre" doesn't matter as long as there's a genuine sincerity behind it and the talent to invent a new musical language. Don't confine yourself to any one genre any more than you'd confine yourself to any one kind of food.

Love that song and JD Crowe does such a fine job on the banjo. I think he wrote it.

i cant really listen to this song, without wishing that it was Tony Rice singing. Dont get me wrong. New south always has a killer line up. They are one of the finest bluegrass groups ever assembled, no doubt. But, still, Tony's voice makes the song for me.

JD is still sounding great! What a banjo player! Good band, but I agree with IBG67 - I do miss Tony Rice in the lineup.

@Draglion123 Dude you've gotta check out "Slaughter of the Bluegrass". They make bluegrass versions out of death metal songs (Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, Amon Amarth....)
