The best explanation of NSCP chapter. None of my professor have ever explained as detailed as this. Sir, with all your lectures, can your please give an example of a manual computation of a simple building like 2 or 3storey high. I think applying all your lectures will give us a good insight on how design principles is being applied to a real structure. I hope someday....

Eto yung libre na mabigat ang makukuha in return, both students and maybe including future practicioners and current practicioners. Cheers. Just sharing my knowledge. Just hit the like and subscription button, that will boost up my interest to do more discussion lile this. Enjoy the current playlist we have. :)

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:00 🏗️ *The design loads and load combinations in NSCP 2015 are discussed under section 404.3, emphasizing the need to follow the specified code for evaluating beams and frames.* 03:01 📏 *Different design approaches, such as Working Stress Design (WSD) and Load Resistance and Factor Design (LRFD), are introduced, highlighting the importance of understanding and applying them in reinforced concrete design.* 04:33 💡 *The stress on a structure is proportional to force over the area. Increasing stress involves maximizing force and minimizing area, with a focus on safety factors and preventing failure.* 06:25 🔄 *Load combinations involving dead load and live load are discussed, with an emphasis on amplifying loads to ensure structural safety and compliance with code requirements.* 08:21 🌐 *Section 405.1.1 outlines factors and combinations used in design, covering self-weight, live load, snow load, rain load, and other considerations.* 10:00 🏢 *Specifics on load factors in seismic zones, reduction of live loads, and methodology assessment of loads are discussed under Section 405.2, emphasizing compliance with the general building code.* 11:17 📊 *Load combinations in Section 405.3.1 include a factor of 1.4 for dead load and 1.2 for live load, with additional factors for roof load, rain load, and earthquake load.* 13:33 🔍 *Investigation of loads acting simultaneously and load reduction factors for live load are highlighted in Section 405.3.2 and 405.3.3, with special considerations for lifeline structures.* 17:18 🚧 *The video touches on load combinations involving earthquake forces, wind forces, live loads, and other considerations for designing structures to resist various loads.* 23:18 🔄 *Alternate basic load combinations (Section 203.4.2) are discussed, allowing structures to be designed for the most critical effects resulting from seismic and wind loads.* 26:13 🏢 *Load combinations for seismic design are provided, with a focus on satisfying specific conditions and using the specified load combinations as per NSCP 2015.* Made with HARPA AI

@nioroskyengineeringonline89684 жыл бұрын
as mandated by National Building Code of ht ephil, it is to use the latest code as the natural "LAW OF THE LAND". simply means used the latest code and it should be under USD where load combinationsa re required. also even not required but for the feel of sleeping at night without worries, better use the latest code for its intention is to secure the safety of the occupants with the altest findings, basically adopted from ACI 318 :) Also the new Phil Buiding Act (PBA) soon to be release, will supercede NBCP and it will consider even two stories and bungalow to have a certain standards of sizes specially for liquefaction effects :) my two cents.
