Yes you are right! Jinyoung’s stage name was Jr/Junior bc of JYP haha Also JYP isn’t the CEO anymore, he’s the founder and a producer. So he’s no longer the one in charge of promotions, JYPEnt is divided into 4 divisions each specialising in 1-2 groups or solo acts, so for GOT7, their division is division 2 (who they share with ITZY) and they’re the ones who aren’t promoting better. As for the music, JYP was the lead producer for the majority of JYPEnt groups’ title tracks (2PM, Wonder Girls, MissA, TWICE, GOT7 and more) but as each group becomes more experienced he lets them produce their own songs, with their own colours but he still has to approve them (and that’s where GOT7 frustration comes from as you said in the video) but as a person JYP is like a father figure/older brother to most of them, so they still have a very good relationship. JYP often said that what he looks for in his artists is personality first and then talent (as you can always train harder) and this transcends into his groups and their relationship with him

got7 disses JYP the most is because of the foreign members. Jackson was calling JYP 'hyung' on the very first week of arrival as a trainee, then Bambam others were still calling him CEO. Moreover, this group is has the most western exposure example BB & YG able to talk back and diss their hyungs openly which you don't see in other groups, I think that's why he threats this group more open minded. 2 pm have foreign members but Taecyeon, his Korean manners kicks in first before his American.

I think you guys missed 15:11 when Jaebeom kept calling that cat Yugyeom and getting mad at it haha. GOT7 do have a close relationship with JYP, at least more than other idols would typically have with the founder/CEO of their company. He encourages trainees to care after their mental health and created a cafeteria where they serve only organic food to staff. He isn’t as strict with dating either compared to other companies. He’s not by any means perfect but I do think that working under JYP is definitely not the worst for an idol because he has lived the idol life too. Also, be aware that when fans insult JYP they also sometimes are referring to the company and not the man himself (especially these days as he has stepped down from CEO but still contributes as a writer and producer sometimes. eg. He co-wrote lyrics for Eclipse with JB).

Jinyoung first had Jr. (pronounced as junior) as a stage name then changed it to Junior because people get confused and calls him J. R (Jay R) then when he was comfortable enough to use his real name, he changed it to Jinyoung 😊

for the promoting issues is for GOT7 comeback and they world tour they did a horrible job that Ahgases have to promote this world tour but is not JYP fault (is more of they management team and promotion team=Division 2) JYP himself stop been the CEO since around 2011 or 2012. JYP is a good company treating they idols and taking care of they mental health but just like others companies also sucks at different stuffs.

i really love jyp, he can be strict somtimes but he is the most down to earth seo (not anymore, but he is still head of the company) from what i've seen and has good relationships with his artists many people are saying that he only pays attention to twice, but i do disagree, he tries to support other groups as well, like look at day6, they were having full control over music and did every6 project with 2 songs every months for a year

I like JYP and most JYP artists have a good relationship with him since hes kinda chill but he is not CEO anymore and the division 2 in JYP entertainment which is in charge of got7 promotion do a terrible job at it. Also I don’t like Doni and Coni of idol room they make me uncomfortable but I watch when my faves are on although I sometimes regret it cause they don’t treat them the way they should be treated.

actually yes, jyp has a say in got7s title tracks... for example eclipse had a much simpler sound according to JB.. but then jyp told him to change it, so jb changed it about 15 times to the point where jb had continuous nosebleeds.. not to mention this all happened when JB was promoting and touring for JUS2!! jyp is the worst when it comes to got7.
