Thank you so much for this. It’s quite helpful. On a similar note, would you mind talking about cPTSD one day?

@@DrRamiNader Great presentation thank you. C-PTSD would be wonderful too! Especially due to Childhood emotional and physical abuse. Fear of being home as a growing child and teen. Also due to psychological abuse from parent's with Disorders such as Borderline PD. Thank you

Hi Zoe - those are all topics on my future videos list. Not sure exactly when I'll get to them, but I will get to them at some point.

Very true. But there are effective treatments available. I have posted other videos on the characteristics of PTSD and a model of PTSD and will be posting other videos on how we treat PTSD. So I hope you will check them out. Thanks for the comment.

I feel you, Mark - PTSD is something I’d never wish on anyone (even people I don’t like). When I asked my therapist if I’ll ever not have PTSD, he said that as much as we wish things in our past could be undone, unfortunately the things that have happened can’t be undone, but we can do things now to help us cope with living right now in the present day, so that we can hopefully live better lives, even with PTSD. I was disheartened at first, but now that I’ve been seeing him professionally over a decent amount of time, I can see that even just having less extreme trigger responses is so helpful. Of course I wish nothing happened in my past that would lead to me even having triggers, but I’m grateful that I can at least do things now to make them less disruptive to my everyday life. I realise your comment was from a couple of years ago, but I still wish you all the best, Mark ✨🙏🏻

I found my mother who had been dead for a couple of days, I think that qualifies as trauma.
