NSW's Toughest Cop: Catching A Satanic Murderer - Pamela Young | I Catch Killers Former detective Pamela Young has seen the very worst of humanity. She investigated the satanic murders of David O’Hearn and Frank Arkell - where O’Hearn’s bloodied limbs were used to write demonic symbols on the walls of his home, and Arkell was found with lapel pins in his eyes. She helped catch the Granny Killer and solved the Family Law Court Bombings. Despite a career pursuing murderers, Pamela still sees the good in people. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I Catch Killers with Gary Jubelin True Crime Australia Listen on Apple Podcasts ► Connect With True Crime Australia Online: bit.ly/46xCXDb ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Subscribe To Our True Crime Australia KZbin Channel: bit.ly/3iU23Fm ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ► Follow Us on Facebook: facebook.com/TrueCrimeAustralia ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 00:00 - Introduction - Pamela Young 02:02 - What it's like to live with Gary Jubelin 05:23 - Investigating the satanic murders in Wollongong 14:09 - Catching the sadistic serial killer 21:06 - Mutilated murderer: shocking twist in case 22:55 - Believing in humanity when you've seen the worst 26:01 - Living with PTSD 31:29 - Mentored by Russell Oxford 38:18 - Policing, corruption and the royal commission 45:28 - The toughest cop 49:59 - Failing detectives 53:31 - When Pam Young rejected Gary Jubelin #truecrime #truecrimeaustralia #crime #crimestory #crimejunkie

What an outstanding individual retired DCI Young is. In a fair and just world she would have been considered for Rank of Commissioner. I hunted down her 2015 interview with The ABC On the investigation into the death of Mr Johnson. I have never heard a public servant put across such a clear and forthright position on a matter. Your friends and loved ones must be very proud of you. Thank you .

Have you seen the documentary of the investigation into the death of Scott Johnson , ( Never let him go ) 4 episodes I'm in the UK it was on Star on Disney+ in the UK.
@MarkWunsch-rs8hl3 ай бұрын
Thank you for that advice I have not seen the documentary but have read the summary of the series. Kudos to the family of Mr Johnson for not giving up on obtaining justice for him but maybe as a matter of equity the nsw government should offer a $2 million reward on all unsolved cold case deaths . Hindsight is a wonderful thing . As an aside my admiration for DCI Young has multiplied on reading the gaslighting treatment she and her staff received from her organisation after it took political and media heat on its position on Mr Johnson death They were the ones thrown under the bus .

Love your podcasts Gary. I learn so much about your industry and insights. It takes a special person to be a cop. Homicide and traffic crash first responders takes policing to a new level. I take my hat off to every member of every police force. I come from a military family and have friends in various police forces. We owe you a mountain of gratitude.

I think she's guilty based on how this documentary was presented. But as far as justice having been served (or not) the supreme court rightly decided based on 'reasonable doubt'. There's the bullet, and there's the gun, and the gun is smoking, but was it REALLY the mother that pulled the trigger?

47:13 I think Pam is right to suggest that these meetings could be held at police headquarters to save money but I also believe strongly that holding the gatherings at swanky hotels is a wonderful rewarding relief for the members of the force to completely relax and enjoy away from work-space some comfort and pampering which they have earned.

BRAVO, to Pamela, a woman not unlike myself. NSW police are so deeply entrenched in corrupt conduct that it is deemed as being lore of the force. A strong, intelligent, law abiding officer, who took no prisoners, and spoke her truth is what we need. I don't like police at all, however, I thank Pamela sincerely for her outstanding contribution & her unwavering attemp to raise the standards of a rotting corpse AKA nsw police force. If only all police were regulated from the ground up to conduct themselves within the law, and undertake their role with such standards that the public could trust & respect police.
