There is an exception for the heavily doped semiconductor.See Basically, Resistivity of a semiconductor, which, along with the length and cross section determines the resistance is an inverse function of the charge concentration and mobility ρ=1/nqμ There are two competing mechanisms affecting n and μ as temperature is increased: Higher temperature results in an increase in the population of electrons in the conduction band because the intrinsic concentration, ni , increases. More electrons, higher n , means higher conductivity or lower resistance. Higher temperature results in more scattering, lower μ , of electrons from the lattice because the lattice atoms vibrate more (we say there is a larger population of phonons). In an intrinsic (undoped) or very lightly doped semiconductor mechanism 1 overwhelms mechanism 2 and the semiconductor’s resistance decreases as temperature increases. This is a negative temperature coefficient of resistance. In heavily doped semiconductors mechanism 2 dominates (temperature barely increases the electron concentration while scattering is significantly increased) and the semiconductor’s resistance increases as temperature increases. This is a positive temperature coefficient of resistance.

These are the the two different things in case of conductor which is PTC if T increases R increases so current should be lowered down but there is one point to note that in order to meet the current demand I starts pushing in the circuit to fulfill the necessary operation of the appliance or equipment and as you know if R is increasing and we keep pushing the current through it the Heat Dissipation takes place and thus it results in insulation failure and so breakage of conductor cable just you may consider the case of normal fuse. Sir mere adapter me ntc thermistor burn ho gya hai kya direct sold krke cala skte hai

No you have to replace the same with rated one because if you directly sold it then it will cause adapter to malfunction and it may stop functioning as required.

Sir thermistor 10 ohm ka hai 12 v adapter me series me laga hai lock down ke chalte aviable nhi hai

@@amritlalsahu5811 You can bypass the same thermistor with resistor of same value which is 10Ω but it is not advisable to use the adapter for longer time with it. Get it replaced as soon as it gets available.
