I love Linda, her “ oh Ed” said it all . Her acknowledgment of be8n* prepared for something big her whole life, knowing it was coming but not sure how it would unfold . Knowing her dreams were coming true while firmly based in real life is astonishing. She’s all heart, genuinely sorry for the other singers who have to compete against the talent God gave her seems unfair to her - happy to win but empathetic toward her fellow artist, she gets no bang out of beating others. No unhealthy ego, she realizes her position but she’s still Linda. She’s happy but sees show biz as two things. Not thrilled with the biz part and all SHOW, she knows from here on Star Search was a stepping stone. It’s a beautiful thing to watch such a. Humble artist who sees herself as a regular person who happens to sing' who happens to be the best. Name a singer that can out sing her - you can’t. Imagine if she had had Clive Davis like Whitney had had. She didn’t want that kind. Of fame and all the BS that. Comes with. It. I’m proud that. She. Values the important things in life with her feet firmly on the ground.

I agree with Jay6459 about Linda issuing a CD with the Star Search songs. They were all so well suited to her voice!

I wish Linda Eder would cut all her Star Search songs on a CD.

Not even going to talk about how amazing Linda is. Holy shit! The woman that competed against her had no emotional connection to that bizarre song whatsoever. Why would you go on a singing competition if you can't connect even on the most basic level to a song, cheesy or not? Linda gives everything she has to every performance, and you feel her power and empathy and warmth in every note. But her competitor? She had no personality, no passion, no anything. That was a horrible performance that only made Linda's wonderful performance shine even brighter.

I have never heard her sing that but would love to hear her do that. I know Nita WHitaker did it I believe in 1991 & I personally thought it was terrible.
