I love NTS but have never commented till now. I am obsessed with how creative and quirky Simone is, and by extension her house. She’s also so warm and funny and someone that I thought, wow she must be so much fun as a friend. This is an impossible to replicate house as it’s a product of her incredibly creative brain but it’s a great example of how making a place exactly as you want it and yet not attached to anything, allows you to have the perfect sanctuary.

oh i've been wanting this collab for years!! simone's house is honestly my biggest inspiration, and the philosophy of "i'd rather have weird/ugly than boring" is something i will always stick to. i wish my brain was more geared toward maths so i could design myself some handy home furniture like this. the one thing i have designed for myself (very much in the same vein as putting toilet paper on display instead of hiding it in a cupboard) is a rather ostentatious medicine "cabinet" made up of random old mini wooden chests and fake plants because hey i have a lot of health problems and a) it's way more convenient not to have to dig through the bathroom cupboards to find medical stuff and b) i don't care about hiding it, might as well make it look cool.
