Minister Opendi concerned over the increasing teenage pregnancies in Tororo District

Sarah Opendi, the Minister of State for general duties has expressed concern over the rising numbers of teenage pregnancies within Tororo district. Opendi revealed that Bukedi region is leading the country with the highest cases of early marriages as well as teenage pregnancies. She warned the residents that the district has passed an ordinance to combat this practice and urged them not to fall victim to it. Meanwhile, Minister of Kampala Betty Kampala also urged the people of Tororo to desist from collaborating with members of the opposition noting that they have nothing to offer them. The ministers were part of celebrations to mark Paya development day in Paya sub county in Tororo district. #NTVNews
