NU Carnival Bliss is a mess and I LOVE IT! (review)

Thanks for the review and glads you enjoy the game! I just want to correct you a bit since I haven't seen anyone talking about it: the neon gemstone was not a gift, a customer actually sent it in as material for his custom piece (the guy wanted a plug with the gemstone on it) and Eiden was just the designer in charge. Huey aka the (original) Grand Sorcerer was also never confirmed to be related to Eiden in anyway. I think chapter 10 is where the main story actually starts to pick up a more serious tone, like it gets more into world building and characters actually went into danger. As for the gameplay, I think you haven't gotten to the "hard content" stages yet to see just how creative (and brutal) the stages are lol. It requires very detailed strategizing to the point of spending hours on one stage. Plus, SSRs usually aren't even that needed, most of them can be replaced with lower tiers cards just fine, there is even a guy who does guides for "hard content" stages using mostly low tiers cards on KZbin. Nu: Carnival is a game that you needs a while to really get into, but once you're in, you're hooked for good lol. The characters are all very lovable with actual depths, development and bonds you wouldn't expect from a 18+ yaoi game. The writing is also pretty clever with wholesome moments, and you starts really rooted for Eiden once you get to understand him a bit. Maybe you can do a first vs current impression after playing the game for a few more months? I will definitely be watching!

Thanks for the correction! I'm still on chapter 8 right now, almost done with it but I had to do some grinding because I had to advance my team, so a lot of the harder content is still really behind for me because I'm not there yet. Lol Oh wow, I didn't really know there wasn't a connection between Eiden and Huey! Blade says he and Eiden share the same essence so I thought they really were blood related. Now I'm super curious why Eiden seems to have a connection despite not being related! Lol I adore the characters too! Olivine in particular is my favorite because he's just so sweet, with Kuya being a close second because I love the sly fox character but I feel bad he clearly had feelings for Huey that weren't reciprocated. I think I'll do that in the future for sure! Probably not for a while but definitely will to see if the game is still worth it a year later! lol

The harder content is under the "Sorcerer's Trial" and "Lost Relic" tabs, though I do think you need at least one or two decent strikers to actually start doing them. I would advise you stops grinding in the main story but instead grind the event! Every event has a reward ladder that's much more efficient that grinding normal levels, hope it helps! A popular theory is that Eiden is a part of Huey, though no one knows for sure. Ooh, fun fact, even though Huey doesn't have a visual anywhere in the main story, he actually had a simple model in a time-limited event! He wore a mask so people still don't know his face, but at least we did get to see his build and hair! If you are interested, you can searched up the event "Rusted Nation" (it's a very lore-heavy event with even heavier topics like SA, so be aware!) I will be waiting for the update!

i jawdropped when you said Garu and Karu's VA voiced Sasaki, i watched in english so i didn't notice (altho i watched some clips in jp and it sounds kinda similar) and i also didn't notice Blade was ALSO voiced by Itokent i thought only Edmond was !! So i was very surprised about that too

As someone love diving into Nu:C & Klein's role, there were many moments in this video that I was just want to- "well, actually...." 😂😂 As for the game itself, you're correct in that it's not as gorey as other yaoi games, but the story itself is dark, just more subtlety & rely on implications (I guess they were plaing on making it to google play from the start, hence the censoring XD) Anyway, thank you so much for reviewing Nu:C!!!! I'm always sooo happy whenever I see a video talking about them lol)

I saw your Rozen Maiden Reviews years ago. Curious if you could explain the entire story of Rozen Maiden Manga? there is a lot of fans that don't know it and those who want to can't even access it since the Manga series is out of print and most of the later volumes isn't even printed in the states.

"I don't think anyone would get this lucky and get 3 SSR Characters right off the bat" I agree as I got 2 right off the bat...looks like I need to try my hand at the slots. Okay but for real what I believe is you are able to snag 2 SSRs as a new player starting the game for the first time. I tested this theory by playing The 18+ Version on my phone and Bliss on an android emulator for windows. I started during the Chase The Rainbow event and when I heard about the Bliss version it was during the second part of the Fanciful Capriccio event. Both times I was able to snag both SSR characters of said events without paying a dime. But that's just a theory. Anyways, I enjoy of the main story of this game. It caught me off guard how invested I would be with both its story and cast. Them being hot is just an added cherry. Also glad to see a fellow Olivine enjoyer. Love him.
